Good grief. I could never run for office because of a lot of dumb things I did as a teenager. I’m a diehard conservative and Republican, but dredging up something like this from someone’s past seems silly to me. My guess is that most of these incidents, regardless of party, were done to mock Hitler, not admire him. There are more important issues to discuss than this.

Agreed. I was twenty and went to a Halloween party with black face. Black arms and hands, too. I didn’t think anything of it - other than it was funny. I still don’t think anything of it, regardless of the hoopla.

I agree with you. The only thing is the utter hypocrisy of these kinds of things. If a Republican did something like that it would automatically disqualify them within 48 hours.

We had, in 1966, a black guy come to a Halloween party dressed in Klan robes.

Another man (white) came as a Buddhist complete with a gas can(empty) as that was when they were setting themselves on fire in SE Asia. No one got offended.
