Good grief. I could never run for office because of a lot of dumb things I did as a teenager. I’m a diehard conservative and Republican, but dredging up something like this from someone’s past seems silly to me. My guess is that most of these incidents, regardless of party, were done to mock Hitler, not admire him. There are more important issues to discuss than this.

Agreed. I was twenty and went to a Halloween party with black face. Black arms and hands, too. I didn’t think anything of it - other than it was funny. I still don’t think anything of it, regardless of the hoopla.

I agree with you. The only thing is the utter hypocrisy of these kinds of things. If a Republican did something like that it would automatically disqualify them within 48 hours.

You ain’t wrong, but when that is using years old comments, etc to get rid of and silence folks, no reason those rules can’t be used against them.

The Left and the Cancel Culture they push to get rid of their opponents or anyone they see as a threat can and should work both ways. It is the Left that lowers these bars, not the Right.

As you stated, there are more important issues to discuss. Problem is, the Left doesn’t want to publicly discuss them or let folks know what they’re really up to for fear that they will turn folks away and lose the votes. Its MO is to lie and cheat, get the seat, flood their districts with loyal voters and then do what they want.

Riiiight. Did you send a letter to the Democrats during the Kavanaugh hearings? Solo cups and 'Ralphing'. That's where the Democrats are. When Northam pics emerge of him in KKK and Kelly shows up as Hitler, publish them and let the electorate sort it out.

I think most Freepers totally agree with you but since the left loves to play these games we have no choice but to bat the ball back when they serve.

Just like the silly 'me-to' movement it ended up ensnaring far more lefty types than on our side.

We are simply rolling up a news paper and smacking their noses. This is the only way to train them not to play stupid games.

However, whoever is making an issue of this is not trying to manipulate conservatives; they are attempting to bewilder the easily confused demonrats. By today's standards, that is legitimate strategy.
