NASA will announce an exciting new discovery about the Moon from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) at a media teleconference at 12 p.m. EDT Monday, Oct. 26.

I hope there is gold in the revelations. Probably a source of water. Which is even better than gold. It makes living on the moon possible.
In some ways I am reminded of land claims in arid regions of the American west. Ownership of relatively small areas around water sources provided control of vast areas with no water.
A lunar colony near a very localized water source would provide effective control of much of the lunar surface. Establish colonies at all of them, and the moon is ours.
