I wonder how they managed to put out a casting call for young girls thinking about becoming Lesbians and how they separated girls who were actually thinking about becoming Lesbians from girls wanting to be on tv no matter what they had to do in order to get there?
ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) is government funded, like the BBC or the CBC. SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) is like our PBS, largely government funded (80%). Both of them are supposed to be independent of government and partisan politics in their broadcast content, but ABC is more of a national institution.
Thanks for pointing out the difference. When I was looking to see where SBS was located I found that it was government funded and left it at that.
Makes sense that the Government needs to create its own competition...
