Just installed a new toilet in the house. They really wanted to sell us a low flow, double flush toilet.

Told them that we wanted a one flush biggest tank toilet they had.

But it would not save water! Finally told them that we have a well, water saving was not a priority. Getting a nice powerful flush was.

One time, I wound up in Kiev. I flushed old Soviet toilet and it scared me to death. It went off like a Martin Baker rocket ejection seat, somewhere between 75 and 150 gallons went through that 3 inch hole in about 2.5 seconds. Water conservation was not their goal

I'm all in favor of environmentally friendly toilets. In fact, I think liberals should be forced to do their business in a hollowed out tree stump outdoors. Then, they could shovel topsoil in them every spring and plant flowers. We even need an organization to promote this.
