A South African town was bracing for racial violence today as black protesters armed with golf clubs and cricket bats faced off with white farmers in pick-up trucks outside a court where two black men are accused of killing a farmer.
The killing of Brendin Horner has led to riots in the town of Senekal where white protesters stormed the courthouse, fired shots and set fire to a police car last week.
Today, hundreds of black protesters linked to the Economic Freedom Fighters movement - which supports redistributing land from white people - gathered outside the courthouse with some hurling rocks despite efforts to keep calm.
The black protesters were brandishing golf clubs, hockey sticks and cricket bats ahead of the two murder suspects' second court appearance today.
The farmers, who accuse the government of failing to protect them from violent crime, arrived in pick-up trucks with some in military outfits and others waving 'Boer Lives Matter' banners at today's stand-off.

Second, transferring ownership of “shares” from one account to another is probably controlled by government regs.
Look at how difficult it is to transfer money out of China as an example of capital controls. Even getting cryptocurrency out of China is a pain in the neck if you are transferring from, say, a parent to a child student in the US.
There ARE ways around it. But, you need to be sure you are NEVER going back to where the money came from. They are not going to be “happy” about it. Even if you are leaving the US there are limits on what you can carry in gold and currency.
I doubt there’s free movement among all the countries.

I spent a month in the Transvaal way back in the late 80s and had a chance to see Soweto at a distance and much more during my stay.
This is pre-”freedom” days, and not that many years removed from the Boer wars.
The people I dealt with were more concerned with building a better base for their economy, not burning down farms and crops.
Their military lacked little and their mines were producing like never before.

One way would be to have a business with foreign customers. Customers payments go to a bank outside South Africa and stay there. You pay local workers with local currency, and get local currency by for foreign currency.
...by exchanging foreign for local currency.

When I told my dad I wanted a car for my sixteenth birthday he told me, “well go buy one... what are you looking at me for?”
I have a similar story. At age 17 I asked my dad if I could have a car. He said yes. I said let’s go get one. He said do you have the money?
After I earned enough money, I said let’s go get a car. He said can you afford the insurance? A little more saving and I had the car and insurance, paid for all of it myself.
It was a 1958 Chevy Bel Air, 283 and 3 on the tree. Very nice car.
South Africa is f**ked. It’s not the fault of any white person under the age of 50, they did not grow up under Apartheid. But it is what it is. Leave the country.
