I guess VDH was on Tucker's show, and he said that what we are in now is a clash between the "zoom" class and the working class.
The "zoom" class works at home and has every thing delivered to them(grubhub, amazon) and since they work at home, they have time and resources to be "woke".
While the working class serving the "zoom" class such as delivering food(grubhub, truck drivers) are on the front lines in the pandemic.

Excellent. The insulated class has become even more insulated from reality.
I would say I am part of the zoom class but will absolutely fight to support and defend the working class.

Anecdotal hooey. I have family members who work from home, and they’re not “woke.” I know a lot of educators who were forced to zoom it, and they did not like it not one little bit. And they’re not “woke.” (yes, I know a lot of liberal loon educators as well including relatives. I don’t let my children near them because who needs to be near people who hate life and hate good people and who want to pontificate/argue liberal lunacy all the time?!?!?!!!)
VDH doing yeoman work as a public intellectual. He has identified and wrapped words around an important distinction here.
So basically the Zoom class never has to leave the sofa in Mom’s basement.
Sounds like groupthink to me.

I am in the “Zoom class” as I work from home and I love having things delivered. But those things don’t make me “woke” and quite frankly I do them to reduce my encounters with other people. Hell is other people!
No, the woke zoom class are the Eloi. They get to live the high life. The can work from home and make the same salary. COVID lockdowns don’t pose a burden to them. They vote Biden.
The working class (Morlocks) toil for the Eloi. They are the everyday truck drivers, barbers, beauticians, waitresses, cooks, chefs, etc. They don’t make a thin dime during severe COVID lockdowns. The Morlocks vote Trump.
The point is that the libtard karens who support all this lockdown nonsense are far more likely to have the option of doing their work via Zoom. Meanwhile, you can’t deliver pizzas via Zoom. You can’t pour a foundation via Zoom. You can’t stock a shelf via Zoom. Etc.
What VDH is spotlighting is that our supposedly compassionate left, the left that claims to care for workers, is disproportionately insulated from the effects of their preferred lockdown policies. They are hypocritically unconcerned for the people who are hurt by them.
Exactly right, and well put.
I work from home, use Zoom and other technology for work. On a work day I am busy with work. I probably put in more than 40 hours of work because it’s too easy to do research or work on some prototype on a weekend when the weather is bad. I’m not a Wokester with plenty of time to read Marx (I doubt most of the “woke” have the intellectual ability to read a complex if misguided book). I do order books from Amazon. I also like to buy books from a local bookstore to help keep it in business. I don’t think having to work from home suddenly makes one a socialist.
Fine, no problem, it is not my fault that you are anti-social, but, your attitude hurts other peoples lively hood and you don't care.
I am working from home, but I agree with VDH. I have co-workers and neighbors who say they care for those who cannot work from home but actually look down on them.
Later VDH
