A homophobic pastor is threatening to sue a public high school in Tennessee after his daughter was sent home for wearing an anti-gay t-shirt.
Rich Penkoski, leader of extremist anti-LGBTQ hate group “Warriors for Christ,” told the Christian Post that his daughter’s First Amendment rights were violated after she was told to leave Livingston Academy in Livingston, Tenn.
His daughter Brielle, who is 15, wore a t-shirt with “homosexuality is a sin” written on the front, as well as “1 Corinthians 6:9-10,” (snip)
“My 15 year old was thrown out of school for the day for wearing this shirt,” Penkoski tweeted last month. “#lgbt wants to trample on your #freespeech rights while they cry for special rights.”
Speaking to the Christian Post, Penkoski said that Brielle was sent to the school’s principal, Richard Melton, who asked her to remove the shirt because of its “sexual connotation.” When she refused, she was sent home, he said.
Penkoski complained that one of the school’s teachers had an LGBTQ Pride sticker in their classroom featuring the words, “Diverse, Inclusive, Accepting, Welcoming Safe Space For Everyone.”
He seemed perplexed as to why Melton would allow the sticker, but not his daughter’s homophobic t-shirt, and said that Brielle wanted to “express her values.”
“She wanted to do this on her own. She wanted to go there to…express her values like all the other kids do,” he said. “They’ve got kids walking around with the pride symbol on their sneakers and pride clothing and nobody bats an eye.”
Penkoski continued: “She was basically censored. It’s not fair…that she’s told that she can’t wear that shirt and other people can wear the stuff that they wear.”

The quotation isn’t homophobic, it is instructive.
That’s the key point right there. All of these bans are one way only. Here’s just one example. Confederate flag shirts are banned on Amazon. But if you want to buy a shirt featuring mass murder Mao Tse Tung or mass murder Che Guevara, no problem!
The pastor is described in a biased, disparaging way as “homophobic”. A better more accurate descriptor would be “homo-disgusted”. Just sayin’ for a friend . ..

The construction business? I was a carpenter in the ‘70s and ‘80s. I never saw a t-shirt like those but I will attest to the “rugged individualism,” for lack of a better phrase, in the trades.
My first few years the crew I was on was building custom-spec homes so no home owners came around to be offended by anything. It was nice. No one stepped on our job sites.

The queers have hijacked the word “gay”. They have absolutely polluted it and monopolized it for their exclusive use. To refer to a queer as “gay” is a misnomer to the nth degree. I have never met a queer that was happy, or content, or at peace with himself/herself. They have always been miserable people and they are helpless to hide their misery. If the author of the article thinks that he pastor and his daughter are homophobic, then perhaps the author can agree with Christians that the supreme homophobic is God.

The pastor is leader of an extremist, hate group? It it like the author is tossing in every negative adjective he can. Homosexual behavior is a sin. That is not hateful. It is what it is. If the author doesn’t believe in sin, he should not be offended.
In Portland, if you wore this shirt and were beat up the mayor would say you provoked violence and it is your fault you were beat up.
