I’m up in the tri-cities. We are seeing lots of out of staters moving in, buying up houses. As soon as the house gets on the market it is sold. Our realtor is saying 70% are from out-of-state. But the good thing is he says most of them say they want to move here because they don’t like the politics where they came from. Let’s hope that’s true.

Thanks to the www, it's easy to do major research ahead of time, learning the demographics about the areas or towns that might interest you, and real estate can be searched for and tracked just as easily. I recommend the central-eastern area of AZ, because I have lived and worked there, albeit many moons ago. Show Low, Pinetop, and Lakeside were where I lived, and worked, and McNary being my only workplace on the rez.

There is a ski lodge at Big Lake on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation, and a mountain that is the fifth highest peak, and the second highest range in AZ; Mt. Baldy, at 11,409', with immense hiking trails and breathtaking views.
