Thanks to the www, it's easy to do major research ahead of time, learning the demographics about the areas or towns that might interest you, and real estate can be searched for and tracked just as easily. I recommend the central-eastern area of AZ, because I have lived and worked there, albeit many moons ago. Show Low, Pinetop, and Lakeside were where I lived, and worked, and McNary being my only workplace on the rez.

There is a ski lodge at Big Lake on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation, and a mountain that is the fifth highest peak, and the second highest range in AZ; Mt. Baldy, at 11,409', with immense hiking trails and breathtaking views.

Im a scientific-oriented person, so of course I gave spreadsheets from the last time we moved. I’ll take those out and update them. Those were just to narrow down a state.

Then like you said, checking real estate prices and demographics and weather in particular locations.

I love the AllTrails app! Every house we look at, i check to see how far the trails are, Super handy since that’s on my top 5 requirements. Really neat tool.

My main concern today is the cataract doc said nothing strenuous for 1 week after surgery. Cooper and I walk/hike every day. I don’t know if that’s considered strenuous or not. In East Tennessee, anywhere you go is either up a hill or down a hill, so I guess that’s more strenuous than walkjjng on flat ground, Diic also said don’t lift anything heavy, Sigh. Hes dealing with an engineer - give me numbers!!! LOL

Some of my family and I spent Christmas in Pinetop once. So nice. The older ones went skiing and I sat the little one.
