BREAKING: Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is reportedly planning to announce the decision in the deadly shooting of Breonna Taylor by Louisville police at 1:30 p.m.

@Phil_Lewis_
Louisville officials announce the Kentucky National Guard has been activated ahead of the #BreonnaTaylor decision
The “news” organizations promoted the lie that she was an angel of a person, an EMT who was gunned down by racist white cops just because they are all racist whites. And BLM uses that narrative also.
Do you know what the problem with waiting them out is?
$$$$
The vast majority of the departments don’t have the manpower or the money.
It’s that simple.
I am in Jewish Hospital east of you. The hospital has closed parking lots and some streets around it. Incoming staff said there are police all over the hospital area. Last riots had 50+ people storm the ER. I cant see out the window to actually see what is going on.
“...or that drugs will be flushed down the toilet...”
Maybe it’s just me but I’d rather risk having drugs flushed down the toilet than killing an innocent person.
Prayers for the law-abiding and law enforcement in Louisville.
The warrant was for drugs/drug profits related to dealings of her ex-boyfriend, who she was known to have associated with recently. That’s why her place was included in the warrants for three or four different addresses that they hit.
The current boyfriend, the one who was there and fired at the officers, was not known to be involved with any drug activity, and had no relation to anything in the warrant. His story is he thought it was the ex-boyfriend breaking in, and unless he stupidly admits otherwise, I don’t see him getting in any legal trouble.
I think you mean the state AG, Daniel Cameron.
My impression of him is that he is a pretty straight guy. I know he wants to be governor and that he and “King Andy” are adversaries.
Is it cheaper than $12 Mil.?
I apologize (profusely LOL), I meant to respond to another comment that referred to it that way.
No we need to be there with guns and live bullets, no horse sh!t! Time for us to defend liberty and live up to being Americans, and stop relying on the government entities to protect us! Surround businesses with signs thst say “Leftist @ssholes will be killed, not wounded!”
I agree. Waiting out a suspect out costs money.
So then a command decision has to be made. Is the bad guy bad enough to wait him out? If so, wait him out. If not, have your officers continue patrol. Maybe youll scoop the bad guy up at a traffic stop, or whatever.
I just dont think a no-knock raid should be made for financial reasons. Its too dangerous for everyone involved.
Anyone have a link to a live feed that’s on now? I’m on NBC News youtube but it’s not streaming yet.
That’s not how public budgets work, is it?
The only justification for dynamic entries shoud be hostage situations, or active shooter/knifer/baseball batter/etc. Anything else really isn’t that urgent of a situation to require such action.
In addition, swat activities should be under elected officials, so only within the Sheriff’s department. Every little podunk town doesn’t need a swat team, unless it’s specifically for SaR activities or similar. Maybe some major cities (Dallas, NY, LA, etc) can keep their teams/equipment, but only with the approval of the Sheriff, and they have to go through him to use it.
I’ve only worked in Louisville for five years, but I see the “hospital district” as one of the rougher parts of town.
I’m over at LG&E across from the Yum center. Well, I was before WFH.
Yep.
It's 1:17 now...
It’s not a terrible accident, it’s bad judicial and LE judgment.
After midnight banging on her door yelling “police, open up”.
Looking for drug related money - basically a non violent offense.
A no knock warrant for that? If memory serves (I could be wrong on this) most of the justification for the warrant was based on tapped jailhouse phone conversations by a scumbag inmate.
You live in a major city and you just open the door in the middle of the night to people shouting “police, open up”? Only if you have a death wish by a home invader.
This situation should never have occurred. I would very much like to see the LE superiors who authorized taking the warrant request to a judge, along with the judge who authorized it both called on the carpet.
