Say what you want about his personal life, I don't recall ever hearing about him demanding special treatment. He's also a great vocalist and frontman...I saw JP twice and he was always in top form. He literally shut up n sang.

If I recall, Halford is also pretty conservative politically (at least he’s not a screaming lefty.) Always struck me as a decent guy.
And yes, saw Priest a handful of times and they were awesome.

Is there ANYONE in showbiz who leads anything REMOTELY resembling a normal, decent, respectable life????

Many years ago in San Diego I went to see a matinee showing of This is Spinal Tap. Several rows ahead of where we were sitting was the band Judas Priest. They had performed in town the before.
Talked to them briefly after the movie. They all thought it was great.
I also remember Rob Halford was wearing these really skimpy white shorts.

. I was lucky, because the sad thing is it makes people who don’t understand the gay community just go, ‘Obviously, they’re all just a bunch of perverts.’ And that’s horrible.
Yes cruising for ass sex in a toilet is perfectly normal! Dude how many millions have you made wher you can’t buy a male whore?

I was a teenage Judas Priest fan in the 80s who had no idea Halford was gay. When he came out publicly much later, my reaction was, This kinda makes sense.
Same for George Michael. I had horrible gaydar as a teen in the 80s. I think most of us did. In retrospect, it was clearly obvious.

JP has some great tunes, thats for sure but does Halford even regret cruising for gay sex and disease or is it just a cool story to tell that the cops covered for him?

Not a huge JP fan, but they've got a few songs that are still pretty strong even after all these years.
As an artist, his vocals have a unique and singular style. And yeah, even at his age... He can still belt it out. He recently went in a collab with Maria Brink's In This Moment. The songs ok... the video was a bit dorky/over the top... It was a mashup of Billy Idol's White Wedding and re-titled... Black Wedding.
Zero foxtrot on who he spends his nights with... Just don't be obnoxious about it.
