If I recall, Halford is also pretty conservative politically (at least he’s not a screaming lefty.) Always struck me as a decent guy.
And yes, saw Priest a handful of times and they were awesome.
Among other tours, I saw Operation Rock & Roll (in 1990-91?) with Alice Cooper and Motorhead on the bill. Fun times.
