THESE incredible pictures show two love rival frogs battling it out in an epic struggle to win a female mate.
The ten-inch male bullfrogs have been caught fighting for a mate in this RARE spectacle that only happens once a year.
A dominant male was photographed with its legs in the air as it grabbed the other male by the neck.
The keen lover pulled the other frog off its feet and down under the water.
In another image, the same male bit down on his competitors leg as the weaker frog tried to make a run towards the safety of the edge of the pool.
Photographer Temujin Johnson, 25, was 50km north of Polokwane, South Africa, when he captured this incredibly rare sight.
Just a few feet away from Temujin, a group of ten-inch male African Bullfrogs gathered to establish a breeding pool.
He explained: "This spectacle only happens once a year if the rains are heavy enough.
"Pools of at least sixty to one-hundred millimetres of water must form in order to draw the bullfrogs out.
"The dominant males began fighting to establish control over the centre of the pool.

Hey! Hold on a minute there!
Frogs don't have no neck....
The breeding season lasts 12-24 days within with there is 3-7 days of maximum chorusing from the males. The males make a kind of brrp or purring noise. Mostly the chorus takes place at night but sometimes, if there is a lot of mating going on, it will go on during the day too. The male climbs on the fatter female and does the amphibian clasp, the amplexus. Actual spawning often takes place during the dark.Sounds like some rough spawning there. Everybody do the "Ampibian Clasp," er, "Name Game."During the breeding season the throats of male frogs becomes brighter and more luminant, perhaps a sign to other male frogs to stay away from male-male mating. There are about two males to every female and males may try to dislodge males on a female. The more males there are, the more aggression, and the greater the likelihood of amplexus interruptus. If females are in short supply several males may attach themselves to one female, drowning her.
#12. Yes, a better way to attract a mate in the center of the swimming pool is NOT to wear a bathing suit. Works every time. Just ask Jeffrey Epstein.
Looks like Free Waffle Fries Night at Chik-FiLa!
Probably better to ask Joe Biden!
Reminds me of Rory Gallagher...
Well did you ever
