Leinenkugel's wants to give you free beer. All you have to do is listen to polka music.
The brewery is giving away a six-pack of Leinie's Oktoberfest, but participants must "enjoy 60 seconds of traditional polka music to unlock the beer claim."
Clearly, this is a Wisconsin company.
The registration page says to "enjoy some traditional German music for 60 seconds and we'll give you a code to redeem a six-pack of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest on us. Danke!"
There's a clock that counts 60 seconds before you unlock a number to text "prost" and redeem the beer.
But wait there's more.
Leinenkugel also would like to sell you the correct clothing for the occasion. They call it a Leiniehosen. Unlike the fabled lederhosen it's named for, this is a hooded sweatshirt/sweat-pant combo with thermal pockets to keep beer cold and pretzels warm. The Leiniehosen costs $75.
Enter to get free Oktoberfest or to buy Leiniehosen at leinie.com/leiniehosen.

We have to buy ours at the store.
Someone said it had to do with AB’s objection to the “Lager” name...
Ha ha. Of course Rogers was slammed for going too saccharine on TSOM, but some of those songs are absolutely gorgeous.
It is sold at Hy Vee stores in Iowa.
Thanks.
Listened to the music (actually picked up my bass and played along), got my code.
Greatly appreciated!
Read it again. It is available in all of those states, using a different code. Danke, instead of Prost.
Oh, Goodie! Spreadin’ the Leinie’s Love!
After 7 hours I had to turn it off............That could very well be a record tho
Beer is supposed to taste like beer!
I remember the long neck returnables.
I have a friend who sends 10-hour loops of things to me. Usually even more annoying than Mr. Trololo!
That guy was even creepy to look at.....
Kind of plastic and WAY too happy - but he really was a ‘star’ in his home country. What that is, I do not know, LOL!
Yup!
Dang! I bought a six pack just last week.
Here in Western PA the AM radio dial is awash with polka music every weekend.
While it is not part of my ethnic background, I find I cannot listen to it and remain in a bad mood.
I don’t have a problem with that. I even like bagpipes.
Jake Leinenkugel used to do radio commercials for his family owned brewery.
Is he still kicking ?
I remember those commercials. Hilarious!
Still alive and kicking! On Team Trump!
“Thomas Jacob Leinenkugel is an American businessman and politician, currently serving as the Chairman of the United States Creating Options for Veterans’ Expedited Recovery Commission. He was appointed to the role by President Donald Trump in June 2018.”

That’s good to know...
