Honest Opinions About Voting For A Female President
9/22/2020 | Redheadedshannon

Posted on 09/22/2020 12:41:22 AM PDT by redheadedshannon

I wanted to create an open, honest & nonjudgemental thread about the possibility of a future conservative female candidate for president. I wonder what most males opinions are on the subject & how it might affect the vote for our side. I would like everybody to feel comfortable being totally honest. Everybody is entitled to their own preferences & I wouldn't assume anything bad about someone based on that opinion. In fact, often wondered what my own husbands opinion truly is on the topic.

Would you go so far as to say you would never vote for a female for president? Are you concerned that any woman would be weak & wouldn't uphold conservative principles? Would you have voted for Margaret Thatcher? If you were forced to choose any woman, who would she be?

I ask because, inevitably, a female might be nominated & I'd like to have an open & supportive discussion on our side about what people's feelings will be. Will it affect our vote? What might your concerns be? Or are you feelings that the gender is of the candidate is irrelevant- so long as they are conservative & stand by their beliefs.

I’m a female but I’m going to post anyway. My opinion is that so many women with kids and a family will put those kids and family first, as they should. A middle age woman whose kids are grown (or doesn’t have kids) and is a true conservative, maybe. Myself, I prefer a male President. If we found a good tough-as-nails female I would vote for her though. I will never vote for a Democrat no matter which gender Republican we run.

As a female, my opinion on this is that if the female is nominated solely because she’s a female (with bonus points for race, religion, etc.), then it’s a no-go for me. This Country needs to stop all identity politics. It should always be the best person for the job, period.

Great question.

We are a Republic. Rule by law. Laws of Nature and Nature’s God rule supreme. They can be amended only by God, not by a popular vote.

Man may make laws subordinate to those...but not outside them.

Law of Nature.
Males in most all species (certainly the great apes and family pairings) are larger, stronger, more aggressive, and dominant.

Laws of God/The Bible.
Ecclesiastes 7
27Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: 28Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found. 29Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

1Timothy 2:
12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

There are many more both direct and nuanced text on differences between men and women. Just as it is critical that men be manly, women must be womanly to abide by God’s design and law.

Man made first in God’s image.
Woman drawn from man.
Masculine and feminine parts separated.
Brought to earthly union again in marriage.
The balanced family is the first of God’s law and the foundation of all healthy human society.

If anything, only family men should be able to vote or govern.

Sorry, not buying it. Normal people don’t “have reservations” about a particular politician and then generalize about a whole sex. They simply ask, “Do I think this individual could be a good choice?”

I would judge a female presidential candidate exactly the same way I would a male candidate. They’re either in line with my stances on policy issues or they aren’t. I don’t really care about anything else.

I would have no issue whatsoever voting for a strong conservative female candidate. None.

I disagree. I say it all began when we let them get up on furniture. Or possibly when we allowed them to look up and give direct eye contact.

And stopped dragging them around by the hair. Just kidding.

If she makes Maggie Thatcher look center-left then I’ll vote for her.
I like what I hear about the Noem lady in South Dakota.

Women are ruled by emotion. One look at the EU is all I need to know about women politicians (not to be compared to the likes of our own black mayors and AOC types) .

I want a man who has the normal emotional quotient, e.g., Logic and not so common uncommon sense.

As much as women like, you just cannot legislate the human gene nor the behavioral outcome with carrots and sticks.

Without a doubt, both my wife and I would vote for a woman for president, however, my wife has mentioned on more than one occasion that she would gladly give up her right to vote if it meant all women could not vote.

My wife sees the general destruction women have consistently wreaked with their votes over time and wants it stopped.

Decisions: Male - Linear and logical. Female - Emotional. My opinion of course but based on many years of experience.

Good question. I would vote for a Margaret Thatcher in a heartbeat. Let me ask another question; would you vote for a homosexual like Richard Grenell?

Correct. I cannot think of one current female politician that I could support for president. And to use the liberal idea of affirmative action, and appoint a woman, or Negro, or any minority over a more competent and qualified white man is of course absurd.

Scripture teaches that a woman is not to usurp the authority of man, because he was created first.

The concept of authority has clear lines of allocation with it.

BOTH parents have authority over their children, NOT JUST ONE .... That is a dogmatic allocation of "authority".

All scripture is given to us .... so that we act wisely... (those last five words are MY paraphrase)

2 Eimothy 2:15
KJV: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

2 Timothy 3:16-17 King James Version

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Timothy 2:12-15 King James Version

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
