*As a Trump-hating son shows, nobody does self-righteous hatred like the left

Leo Guinan (“he/him”) has bravely and smugly gone public with his decision to blackmail his father for being a Trump supporter. Unless daddy changes his ways, he’ll never see his grandchildren again. Guinan oozes self-righteous hatred. The only good thing about his post is that people were appalled and contemptuous.

Guinan describes himself in glowing terms:

Trying to share my experiences in a way that might help others. I can change the world. I will change the world. Even if for a single person. He/Him.

This wonderful human being wrote a now-viral post entitled, “Today I Gave My Dad A Choice: Trump or His Grandkids and His Son.” He explains that he was traumatized by finding a Trump sign in his father’s yard. And so, “pissed” and tearful, he sent his parents this message:

Due to the signs in the yard, the kids and I will not be down. The current occupant of the White House is preaching hate and violence, endangering the lives and safety of many of my friends. This is not acceptable to me at all. There is a complete disregard for women, minorities, science, ethics, and morality. Please consider if you support Trump that much. Because I hate him that much. I wanted to be upfront and honest about my feelings.

It was very common in the those pre-ww2 days for children to snitch on their parents for “capitalistic tendencies” and other non-sense.

A fun thing to ask your liberal friends:

1. A democracy presumes that honest people can sometimes disagree in good faith. Is that true?

2. If yes: give me an example of an important issue on which different people can honestly disagree in good faith?

3. If silence, give same examples: climate change? affirmative action? abortion? same sex marriage? income inequality? wealth inequality?

The best answer I’ve gotten is “tax policy” but then when I say “OK so people can honestly believe that the “rich” are already paying their fair share” so we don’t need to raise taxes”, that gets characterized as greed talking.

I intended the “maroon” spelling as it has become street slang for “an unbelievably stupid person.”

No problem, just wanted to point out the spelling was intentional. Either way it’s spelled, it is still applicable to the situation!

I finally unfriended a 20 year friendship. I got tired of someone who claims to be brilliant and they cannot even tell the difference between red and yellow, truth or false statements...that whatever Robert Reich said was truth and worth spewing on FB.

We have had many wonderful times together and respected our differences. BUT, now is different. After wanting a President who had health problems and had to be braced by staff, they now think that a demented candidate is worthy of the Presidency. Personally, anyone who thinks this needs to join Biden with either a full-time caregiver or locked assisted living.

Emotional blackmail.

This mean, selfish idiot deserves whatever he gets in the afterlife.

I have been telling my most inner circle of friends this for the last 8 years.
“The most important thing is those closest to you”
“Don’t let politics destroy it”

“Sadly, I can relate to this article.

A few years ago, if you didn’t want to vote for Hillary, you lost friends and some family.

Now if you think Trump is better suited for the office than Biden, the friends are still gone, and family is dropping like flies.”

I went through this during Bill Clinton years ...I have not missed one of ‘em.

AND I’m happy.

If a punk kid like that ever gave me such an ultimatum, I’d choose a Trump.

Exactly, he’s depriving his kids of their grandpa. How hard would it be to say, “Kids, Gramps is voting for Trump and I don’t agree, but he’s your grandpa and we will respect him and we will keep visiting him, because sometimes people disagree”? No, leftists are too intolerant and hateful for that. Unfortunately, the grandpa as no rights in this case and the brat can keep his grandkids from him. I hope someday the kids turn against their rotten dad and reunite with the grandpa.

MY Dad would have broken speed limits to get to his lawyer & to change his will.

He actually did write one son out of his will due to how that son treated him for years. Son didn’t even get the proverbial $1.

My good father left each of us three kids an equal share.

He told us only, and frequently, "But if you ever start to fight over anything I'll come back down and kick your butts to kingdom come!"

Fiction. Never happened. Complete BS. The writer is following the typical offended liberal writing pattern that we have seen all too often.

TRUMP is NOT JESUS, but I find it very interesting that all this hate really calls to mind a lot of scripture. If something is true and right, and important enough, no threat in the world should make me cave... If I do, I’m doing more harm than good to those grandkids. If it’s only a sign in the yard, well... But you know this person will not stop at that. The Dad may have to get on one knee and kiss the LGBTQ ring.

From Matthew Chapter 10: (Jesus speaking)

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
