MY Dad would have broken speed limits to get to his lawyer & to change his will.
He actually did write one son out of his will due to how that son treated him for years. Son didn’t even get the proverbial $1.
He told us only, and frequently, "But if you ever start to fight over anything I'll come back down and kick your butts to kingdom come!"
Your post gave me a really funny thought.
If I were in that situation, and had a rare/valuable quarter, I’d leave it to the bad son, saying, “You treated me badly, here’s a quarter.” - followed by a letter a full year later, saying, “Oh, I hope you didn’t spend that quarter, it was worth $10K...”
