ALCONA COUNTY, MI - The language in a rural Michigan county board resolution defying statewide coronavirus restrictions alluded to the civil disobedience shown at the Boston Tea Party.
We are not advocating for overthrow or abolishment, according to Alcona County Resolution 2020-13, but if these practices continue, (we advocate for) civil disobedience and ignoring the over-reaching and oppressive Executive Orders that have been inflicted on our citizens, akin to the Boston Tea Party, which was respectful to the cargo vessels but not the cargo itself.
Instead of tossing tea into the water, the cargo in this case would mean a return to normal life by choosing not to follow statewide mandates for virtual education and mask-wearing, said Alcona County Commissioner Gary Wnuk of the United States Taxpayers Party, who authored the resolution.
Wnuk and the other four Republican county commissioners unanimously approved the Aug. 19 resolution, which also requested Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to place Alcona County in the same region as other Northern Michigan counties with less restrictions.
Currently, the farmland county of more than 10,000 people is in Region 4 of the Michigan Economic Recovery Council, adhering it to the same restrictions as Bay City and Saginaw. The board requested a redesignation to Region 6 and Northern Michigan, which is in Phase 5, or the least restrictive part of Whitmers Safe Start Plan.

Whitler won't like this.
It’s the middle of September folks. The jig’s up.
Agreed,
“Peaceful Protests!”
Forget Fauxi!
Good.
On my way to church yesterday I stopped at a Food Lion for gum. A good number of customers weren’t wearing masks and even the employees had them down under their nose. It did my heart good!
In NYS Cuomo has been sending out LE to harass over 1,000 businesses statewide on Saturdays.
While crime is up jn areas all over the state.
I’m surprised HeilHalfWit hadn’t taken a leaf out of Il Duce’s book.
Meanwhile college campus suspends students for not following wuhan scamdemic policies.
Wretched W hitler should be dangling from the Mackinac Bridge.

The most EVIL governor in the history of my state by far. It’s not a politician. It’s a DEMON. LOOK at her...
‘Whitler won’t like this.’
plenty of people posting on this website won’t like this...
Can we parade around the likeness of the severed, bloody head of the Michigan Medusa for comedic relief?
Husband took a two day trip up North to a small place with cabins and hardly anyone there and it was on Lake Huron. The owner of this Ma and Pa place was telling us that this area was big republican town. The Governor on purpose excluded them in the region that could totally open all businesses. Just 2 min down the road was another town that was INCLUDED in the you can totally open. So think of square and they are at the top right square (town that was excluded) and the town next to them was open but not that other town.
I live just a few miles north of Alcona county. Earlier this year, one of our favorite restaurants that is on the north side of the county line road was open for indoor seating but another restaurant about 200 yards away on the south side of the road was closed.
Madness!
That’s why I said in another thread that the Cuomos have always been leftist trash. Harrassing business owners bit celebrating the looters and criminals. A special place in hell for people like the Cuomos and DiBlasios of this world.
So true. When this started, I would estimate close to 50% here supported the lockdowns.
At least 25% were hard core Karen types, and it made me sad to see they called themselves conservative!
Yes that is what we experienced. Also even though the town was open under the region map, lot of businesses remained closed as they couldn’t get employees to come to work.
