The role of veterans in the newly proliferating militia groups — which sometimes are steeped in racism and other times steeped simply in anti-government zealotry — has increased over the last decade, said a dozen experts on law enforcement, domestic terrorism and extremist groups.

She says the Oath Keepers are an extremist group. Someone enlighten me if/when they every did anything.
Interestingly she makes no mention of the John Brown Brigades of ANTIFA. And Redneck Revolt.

They see militias behind every bush. They live in an alternate freak show reality. They hire racist Sarah Jeong and call everybody a racist.

But the biggest problem with all of this is the complacency that still pervades everywhere.
Folks will complain, rant and rave about how things are, will talk about all the veterans and patriots being patient, but......these same people won’t run for city council, county commission, school board or anything else. Yes, there are going to be places where a Center Right, Right leaning, Republican, Conservative simply cannot win. But there are many places they could. And so many things in the country would change if folks got more involved. If police chiefs weren’t hired for their diversity and long careers of kissing ass to get the next promotion and had the backing of the people and their elected officials, so many things would change.
Could/Would ANTIFA/BLM get even more violent and destructive? Absolutely. But that increase would just make folks hate them even more and feel less and less sorry for them once they came up against any opposition. Whether from LEOs or Joe 6 Pack.
That It might not stop, even after all of the Antifa and BLM are in steaming, leaking piles? That the supporters of Antifa/BLM would be next in line, and then the supporters of the supporters?
Funny thing about civil wars. They are FILLED with hate, and no ROEs.

What’s interesting about that comment is, the supporters have already been subjected to being on the wrong end of the stick from ANTIFA/BLM, the very people they’re supporting and cheering for.
WHY a hot civil war might be VERY short ................ the Left has no idea what they might be brewing up. They want to defund the cops. But use those very cops to disarm the populace. Hmmmmm ... we all know they’re dumber than dirt, but are they really thinking that will be a reality.
On a side note, I’m beginning to wonder if the Dem politicians all have secret investments in the firearms industry. Every time they open their mouths about guns, they create a run on the industry, the companies are working 24/7 making money like crazy, folks are hoarding rounds by the thousands, it’s damn near impossible to buy anything...and they’re worried about a fantasy.
These kids need to be detained, identified and put on the evening news or some other form of media where the public can see them. And see who they are.
Provide a brief bio of who they are, their parents, where they grew up, went to school, what their parents do for a living, etc. Let the world see them for the shitty vandals they are.
Shame the entire family. Have guys go to their homes and ask the parents how they feel about little Bobby or Susie setting fire to cop cars, throwing rocks at cops and destroying someones business. Put the mic’s in their faces and see how they like it.

So-called Militia groups aren’t the ones destroying the cities.
Militias are lacking communications, coordination, supply lines, intel, armor, transport, air cover, money, tactical plans, unifying philosophy, command structure and physical fitness.

I remember reading several “news” reports years ago in Hussein’s first term that the administration regarded all members of the Oath Keepers as an Existential Threat to the USA. The news reports were said to be based on FBI assessments.
The NYT has lost its mind trying to give cover to Antifa and BLM.
