Militias are lacking communications, coordination, supply lines, intel, armor, transport, air cover, money, tactical plans, unifying philosophy, command structure and physical fitness.

Other than that, they’re ready to roll.

The Viet Cong had many of the same problems.

I think you’re painting with an extremely large brush.

Yes there are a few things in that list that they don’t have. But there are some that are popping up that might challenge your assertions. They’re being organized by legit people, talking about legit stuff. It isn’t your 300lb slob with an AK anymore.

Communications...yes Coordination ... just a matter of reaching out to folks, the same way ANTIFA/BLM are able to do Supply lines ..... there are still retail stores in the US, isn’t there? Transport ..... They do have cars don’t they? Money ..... they got their guns and ammo from somewhere, unless they make everything in their basement Tactical Plans .... just a matter of sitting down and making one Unifying Philosophy ... the ones that are popping have a unifying philosophy thanks to ANTIFA/BLM/OWS/Dirty Policiticians/etc etc Command Structure ... just a matter of making one and veterans and LEOs involved will have no issues with doing that

Physical Fitness .... See my above statement. Sure there are still some good ol’ boys toting quite a few extra pounds, but some of these new groups aren’t like that.

So look down your nose and laugh at them if you wish. Just goes to show that you appear to be just as judgmental the chick who wrote the article.

Read up on 4GW.
4th generation warfare.
A common mistake is to be fighting the last
war, not the new one.
Just a thought.
I don’t think it will get to that,
and I’d never violate any Federal, State, or
Local laws, nor would I suggest people do so.
But the future is here, now.

You are making the assumption that the US Army is controlled, at base, by the officers. WRONG! The military is operated by middle management, by the staff NCOs. Officers, the 30% who voted for Obama, are the pointey haired bosses. They are not as bright, or as required, as they believe themselves to be, and do not take that Oath thing as seriously as the NCOs under them.

Since at least the 60's, they have been ticket punchers. One year at staff school, 2 years as a Bn XO, 2 years as Bn CO, more school, Rgt. Staff as S3, or S4, carefully climbing that ol' ladder, steered by Clinton's people in the Pentegon, and then Obama's. They are "well rounded" and carefully tested as loyal to the Party, rather than leaders of men into war.

Recall that Clinton, Barak and congress went to great lengths to reform the military, by DADT, RIFFing out politically unreliable officers, and then inflicting socialist indoctrination on the the enlisted.

Did it work? We are about to find out.
