What if White Americans had been sold as slaves to Africa?
Christian Post ^ | 09/09/2020 | Michael Brown

What if the roles had been reversed? What if it was White Americans who were sold into slavery in Africa? What if it was Whites who, to this day, many decades after their emancipation, had lower family incomes, diminished educational opportunities, and higher crime rates than the Black majority? How would we, as White Africans, view this?

Jewish historian Eli Faber, in his book 'Jews, Slaves, and the Slave Trade: Setting the Record Straight', which demolishes the lies of the Nation of Islam about the allegedly dominant role of Jews in the slave trade, paints a powerful picture of the monstrous nature of this horrid practice.

He writes: “Wrenched from their homes and their families, marched in chains to the coasts and transported across the seas during an era that lasted well over three centuries, millions were condemned to spend the remainder of their lives in servitude and to witness the enslavement of their children. Many more did not survive the Atlantic crossing, perishing instead on vessels swept by disease or from a profound depression that the historical record tells us frequently seized many of the captives in its grip. Still others died within a few years of arrival, toiling on the plantations and in the mines of Europe’s colonies in the western hemisphere.”

Now, read that again, but change the players. Over a period of three centuries, White Americans, as many as 10-15 million, were wrenched from their homes and families and marched in chains to be shipped by their Black captors to Africa. Several million would die at sea. The rest would be consigned to a life of slavery and oppression by their Black masters, with their own children born into wretched servitude.

As for the Black oppressors, many of whom claimed to be committed Christians, they were convinced by biology and theology that the Whites were both inferior and cursed. They were born to be enslaved.

Faber noted that, “African merchants brought caravans of slaves to the coast for sale, while African governments not only went to war in order to obtain captives to sell into slavery but also established the trading regulations, dictated the terms, and set the prices under which the Europeans were required to operate.”

Reversing the roles again, this would speak of White Americans selling fellow Whites to the Black Africans, even going to war to capture other Whites, all for financial gain. Such is the evil of humanity.

But either way, the end result would be the same: White Americans would become White Africans, virtually all of them the descendants of slaves.

Eventually, going along with our reversed-roles scenario, the slave trade and slavery would be abolished in Africa. But for another century, in many parts of Africa, Whites would remain an inferior class, treated with inequality under the law until Civil Rights reforms in the 1960s sought to level the playing field.

Still, in the year 2020, White Africans fell far behind in many statistical categories (in all links cited, I am reversing the stats for White Americans vs. Black Americans and applying them to my imagined scenario):

As of 2020, the average net worth of a Black African family was 10 times higher than the average net worth of a White African family.

The median annual income of Black African family was $65,902 compared to $41,511 for a White African family.

For every 100,000 White Africans, 2,306 were incarcerated compared to 450 Black Africans.

Funding for Black children’s schools was much higher than funding for White children’s schools. In addition, “about 72% of [Black] students who have completed high school enrolled in college the same year, compared to 44% for [White] students.” (Once again, I am reversing the actual data in these citations.)

Out of Africa’s Fortune 500 companies, there were only three White CEO’s.

As for births out of wedlock, 69.4 percent of White African babies were born illegitimately, compared to 28.2 percent of Black African babies.

Accordingly, since so many White Africans were raised without a father, this has resulted in higher rates of drug addiction as well as higher crime rates. And so, the cycle continues.

How does this make you feel as a White African?

Now, even if systemic racism no longer existed in Africa, would anyone dispute that the plight of White Africans was directly related to their history as an enslaved, then oppressed, minority? Would anyone dispute that, on some level, this tied in with the legacy of Black supremacy?

This would not absolve White Africans from taking responsibility for their own wellbeing and social improvement today. Nor would it justify acts of violence against Black Africans. But, if there was truly a continent-wide move to see biblically-based justice and righteousness for all citizens, then Black Africans would have to wrestle with these realities and find holistic ways to level the playing field as much as possible.

Coming back to the present reality here in America in 2020, as we look to make America great for all of her citizens, let us, as White Americans, do our best to be empathetic rather than defensive when it comes to race issues.

As I’ve stated before, there’s no reason for fragility or guilt (and I say this with full recognition of the very flawed nature of the bestselling White Fragility book). At the same time, I believe it’s very easy for us as White Americans to fail to grasp the degree to which we still have not overcome the legacy of our past, whoever’s fault that may be.

To me, this does not speak of systemic racism in 2020. Instead, it speaks of a very embarrassing past that still leaves scars today.

So, let’s keep asking big questions in order to find big answers in order that, together, we can fulfill our God-given potential as a people and a nation. Mixing in a healthy dose of empathetic understanding will go a long way in helping us achieve those goals.

What an utterly vacuous line of assumptions. Even with Affirmative Rascism, lowered testing scores, preferential placement, welfare out their ever expanding backsides...

The issues in that community are not systemic... they are CULTURAL. And it isn't Western/American Culture keeping them "down".

Until they get over that, there is NOTHING that will fix those issues.

I’ve got a better question. What if black Africans had never sought to capture their rival clans and sell them into slavery? No one would have ever owned a black slave. No one would have had to start a Civil War to end slavery in this country. There would be no BLM. So Michael Brown, it was a black problem, and is still a black problem. Whites have done all that they can do. Many blacks have taken advantage of the opportunities that have been opened up for them. Many other blacks have not. They are on par with the number of whites who have never taken advantage of the opportunities that were always available to them. Sorry, Michael, you are just playing another version of the victim game. The reality is we only continue to be victims if we allow ourselves to be convinced to remain as victims, once we are no longer in situations where we really were victims. There are blacks, and even some whites, that want to continually convince other blacks that they are still victims, because it enriches them. Without aggrieved victims, they have lost their financial windfalls.

Interesting read, but the problem is seemingly post 1960’s. In the early 60’s black families used to stay together, blacks were not as likely to commit crimes, and most blacks took good care of their communities.

The Civil Rights movement may have been of well intention, but some ingredients seem to have been laced with poison.

One thing I know is predominantly true; white Americans are not happy about the condition of black Americans. There is no satisfaction in seeing such a high percentage of fellow Americans, of any race, seemingly on a path to self destruction.

I hope they can overcome, but my empathy is thin when my skin color is blamed and hated. I can’t put myself in their shoes, because I wouldn’t. I would find a way out of those shoes, just as millions of black folks have already done.

My ancestors, the children of Israel, were enslaved by the Egyptians for hundreds of years. I turned out okay.

You’re absolutely correct. My genealogical story reads exactly as you wrote it. My not so distant family..only 4-5 generations ago..some of whom were alive when I was born, were made slaves by the British who also attempted genocide of my people. They were burned out, run off their lands and farms and forbidden to own land. Their childten were placed in church orphanages where they were hired out as servants, their wages given to the church. They were used as sex slaves and had an unwed pregancy rate which rivaled today’s here in america. They managrd to come over the border and became citizens of this country. They were able to make a living despite being mistreated by other whites.

I am only 3rd generation american. Great Britian fails to acknowledge their past behavior to this day and continues to offer even a simple apology.

So I don’t want to hear the oh poor me diatribe out there. Slavery is a condition of the heart as much as it is an evil act by one group to another. But I can’t help but wonder the comparison between the provisions of the slaves of yesterday and minimum wage workers trying to raise a family today.

What freedoms of choice do minimum wage workers have on their wages? What do they have to do to provide for their families? Maybe they have to work 16 hours per day to support their families...

I say slavery still exists. It just looks different and folks don’t recognize it. How much freedom does a minimum wage worker REALLY have? LLP

And all this difference in achievements can ONLY be attributed to racism. Even Booker T. Washington recognized the problem 150+ years ago when he stated that blacks make up 10% of the population and commit 50%+ of the crimes. Blacks need to look to their own culture to solve problems.

they would have created the Magna Carta, patent law, all inventions, British common law all the necessary infrastructure to the industrial revolution..... so the basic premise is a farce no even worth contemplating other than demonstrating one more time.... “white” superiority, evolution in Christian povitical thought specific to the British christians.... not those of Rome or Eastern Europe but those of Britain.

The basic premise for this article is a farce, however er it does demonstrate the necessary infrastructure of 800 years of advancement brought on by the Christians of Britain... not the Chinese, not the Indians not the world of islam and N OT the world of tribalism in Africa.

The reason there are very few ‘white africans’ is, all the white men were castrated before being shipped. Not all survived this barbaric treatment. So the only ‘white africans’ would be half-whites born of women who were used largely as fodder for African brothels. There was no such thing as a white slave family unit. Nor were children left to play until they were 7 or 8 years old. The brothel children were slaves from birth and worked to death or used as front-line fodder in tribal wars if they were males, after a stint as ‘dancing boys’ for homosexual brothels or chiefdoms, with girls suffering the same fate as their mothers. The rare white woman who were slaves to African women suffered the same fate as white women captured and enslaved by American Indians - treated horribly, starved and beaten often. If by chance a half-white child was born with light skin and red hair or blond hair, they were hunted or bought, and killed in gruesome ways by witch doctors who thought there was magic in possessing body parts of these poor souls.

Additionally, there was no ‘servant status’ in Africa whereby the slave could own his own home, have his own family, and his own side-business, such as existed with the first 100,000 slaves imported prior to 1787. There was no buying freedom, either, that slaves in the colonies enjoyed until approx 1776ish, when blacks joined the British and/or the indians against the colonists, both earning themselves the label of untrustworthy and traitors.

Outside of Africa, the Romans took thousands of slaves back to Italy. Vikings regularly took slaves from the coasts of England, Ireland, Scotland, France and Germany. Vikings took some women for wives or ‘comfort women’ for the soldiers, some for field labor. The men were generally laborers or forced into soldiery - at the front line of course. Vikings had contact with the Byzantines in the 10th century, who hired these Varangians by the thousands as mercenaries. No doubt they increased their wealth by bringing some slaves with them for sale in the busy markets of Constantinople.

And finally, the Africans never offered a piece of land for whites to return to. In fact, in many African nations, it’s forbidden to this very day for whites to even own land. Much less have safety living there. No Affirmative Action, no preferential treatment, no zillions of welfare programs from housing to food, college scholarships or government jobs. No nothing, not even an apology. Whereas, the newly minted USA bought land in Africa for Africans to return to - an offer that still stands - and did provide all the above and more, including intermarrying.

A Jewish person would surely be aware that slavery was a human condition from the time of Joseph - who was sold to slavers that were well-established and thrived at that time. And of course Moses. There were no white folks chasing thru the African jungle with nets. It was African kings themselves who captured and maintained entire plantations of slaves, and who sold them to enrich themselves and to buy european horses for their personal armies, at a going rate of 4-6 humans per horse. And while slaves were counted as 3/5th a man for taxing purposes in early America, that seems a whole lot more dignified than 1/4 of horse. America and England ended slavery in western civilization. Too bad Africa can’t make the same claim in their own country.
