Retired airline pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger on Friday condemned President Trump’s reported comments on fallen U.S. service members, saying the commander in chief has “completely failed to uphold his oath.”
Sullenberger, an Air Force veteran who landed the famous "Miracle on the Hudson," wrote a thread following the bombshell report this week from The Atlantic accusing the president of disparaging dead military veterans as “losers” and “suckers.”
“For the first time in American history, a president has repeatedly shown utter and vulgar contempt and disrespect for those who have served and died serving our country,” the former pilot wrote. “While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by the current occupant of the Oval Office.”
Sullenberger argued that Trump has shown himself to be “completely unfit for and to have no respect for the office he holds.” …

He’s a very good pilot who under difficult circumstances probably saved many lives.
The problem is from that he was given celebrity status by the media and the media’s rules say that celebrities are all knowing and philosopher kings on every subject - if you want an “important” point of view, just ask a celebrity”.
It truth, the media knows the ignorant sheeple love celebrities and will follow them anywhere, so what the media does is to go out and find a “celebrity” that will give the media the opinion that the media wants to sell.
An truly important person with a different opinion has to go an find, for themselves, a media outlet that will speak to them because no media outlet is not looking for their opinion.
This whole ‘news’ event [dissing military, etc.] is nothing but recycled garbage from 2018.
It turned out to be nothing then and it will likely turn out to be nothing again.

Prediction: If Trump is not able to strongly recover from this in the next week, the lasting impression could be enough to sink the campaign. I hope he is able to recover.
