March 26, 2020: A large section of Yellowstone National Park roughly the size of Chicago, located in the Norris Geyser Basin has been suddenly and mysteriously pulsating.

I know what happens when my recreational area starts pulsating.
Good, maybe the ash cloud will kill off the zebra mussels, the Asian Jumping Carp and the killer hornets.

I used to live in Hawaii - the farthest place on the planet from a Yellowstone eruption.
Now I live in north eastern Utah - AKA “The Death Zone”.
They tell me I won’t even know what happened - it will be instant death....
Every time I read of Yellowstone, it reminds of a science fiction novella I read a long time ago. Based on the idea that the Yellowstone super volcano was showing signs of erupting again.
So first they built a Mississippi-sized river from Canada leading to a giant dam north of Yellowstone. Then while it was filling they dug several channels to be fed by the dam south to a few locations just outside the area of the magma chamber.
Then they dug large tunnels down to the hot rock just outside of the chamber, and finally released the water right when they detonated nuclear explosives to make enormous underground chambers.
The water pouring in then created huge amounts of steam, with it perhaps cooling down part of the magma chamber after perhaps 100 years or more.
Of course that huge amount of steam substantially increased the rainfall and seasonal snow east of there.

If Yellowstone ever detonates, they’ll hear from Denver.
I doubt there will be any warning even if they knew for sure yellowstone was gonna blow. Can you imagine the panic that would cause?
I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren near Chicago, who for one reason or another, are unable to relocate any time in the near future. How about NOBODY gets killed by an asteroid or volcano, just to give the innocent a break?

When will it blow? When its dam good and ready. Maybe tomorrow, maybe 300 thousand years from now.
