Charges filed in a criminal complaint alleging that Alan Varela & Bill Gilmartin, the President & VP of a Bay Area civil engineering & construction firm, bribed Mohammed Nuru, buddy of Kamala’s former boy friend Willie Brown, & ex Director of Public Works of San Francisco.

According to the affidavit filed, Varela & Gilmartin provided gifts & benefits to Nuru since at least as early as 2013, while Kamala Harris was the AG of California.

Nuru allegedly provided Varela & Gilmartin with a steady stream of Inside info re a lucrative SF public contract.

Varela & Gilmartin are the 7th & 8th defendents to be charged as part of the graft probe.

Both face a maximum statutory penalty of up to 10 years in prison, as well as fines that could go as high as $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss from the alleged bribery scheme.
