Legal Group: Zoom and California University in Violation of U.S. Law for Hosting Forum With Terrorist
Lawfare Project petitions DOJ to investigate school, meeting platform over event with PFLP member.

Two of SFSU’s academic departments, the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diaspora Studies program (AMED) and the Department of Women and Gender Studies (WGS), organized the event with the PFLP’s Khaled. Two SFSU professors—Rabab Abdulhadi of the AMED program and Tomomi Kinukawa of the WGS program—are slated to act as moderators for the event.

SFSU-associated video conferencing services and Zoom will be used, according to an invitation for the event.

“This SFSU-associated video conferencing platform, and Abdulhadi’s and Kinukawa’s moderating of the conversation, can constitute material support” for a designated terrorist organization, according to the Lawfare Project’s Sept. 14 letter to the DOJ seeking an investigation. The school and professors participating “can each be found liable” for violating these laws, the group maintains.

The Lawfare Project has already petitioned SFSU to inform it of the potential penalties it could face.

Under strict interpretations of the law, merely hosting Khaled would constitute a violation, according to the Lawfare Project.

SFSU has a history of anti-Israel sentiment on campus.

In March 2019, the school reached a landmark settlement with several students who alleged “rampant anti-Semitism and discrimination against Jewish students” on campus. The Lawfare Project also played a role in that suit.............part of the article.

Very good. The pro Palestinians there get all the liberals to protest with them very anti Semitic atmosphere. One time a gay coworker told me he was going to one of the protests because he thought it would be fun. I told him he was being used, because if those people were in charge he’d be thrown off a roof for being gay. He said he hadn’t thought of that.

Tim Murtaugh - Download the Trump 2020 app today!

Joe Biden’s handlers are playing “hide the candidate” from the local media in Minnesota.

Local TV anchor/producer wonders “what’s the point of coming here at all?”

Excellent strategy! Avoid anyone that might ask a question that isn't scripted

Pool feed only? Totally normal. What did he think he was going to get? To have a slumber party & braid Joe Biden’s hair & giggle all night?

How about the Trump family’s exclusive photo deals w/Getty Images & their profit from official photographs?

Trump does 0 local one-on-ones

So it's like 3 card Joey.

Exactly Dan, what is the point

Too bad Biden hasn't been to Minnesota for 3 years

No kidding.

When a current presidential candidate comes to town, it's kind of a big thing. Wouldn't the local media expect a chance to speak with him, or at least ask him a question? The media's job is to share info with the public. They can't do that without access.

Takes a long time to recover from that “town hall” he did last night.

Even being in a friendly environment with people on the same team, asking him gentle (preapproved?) questions is exhausting for him.

Needs at least a day to fully recover.

Well, he’s got to be able to say he went to Minnesota ,

Subject: in town pool report 7 - South Lawn

The president answered seven questions on the South Lawn, taking 7 minutes and 45 seconds. Most of the answers trod familiar ground, with the exception of when he was asked if he plans to replace Christopher Wray from the FBI. Here was his first response:
“I disagreed with him on those, I think, very important points. Obviously, China is at the top of the list. And I think Russia and North Korea and many other countries can be talked about but China would be at the top of the list and I don’t know why that was not mentioned. And obviously Antifa. These are thugs, these are bad people. These are people who hurt a lot of people, a lot of good people... The fact is that Antifa is a bad group. And they are criminals and they are anarchists and they are agitators and they are looters and rioters and everything else. They are bad and when a man doesn’t say that, that bothers me. I wonder why he is not saying that....”
“I think Bill Barr has been incredible. He is strong, Bill Barr is strong and he’s tough and he is smart and I think he agrees with me on this stuff...”
Given a second chance to say if he plans to remove Wray from his FBI post, the president responded:
“We’re looking at a lot of different things. And I did not like his answers yesterday and I’m not sure he liked them either. I’m sure he probably would agree with me. Antifa is bad, really bad. And if you look at it, who is the real problem? The big problem is China. And we can have others also and I’m not excluding anybody. But the big problem is China and why he doesn’t want to say that, that certainly bothers me.”

The other questions involved Tik Tok, crime, the pandemic, opening the Canadian border and Covid deaths.

what's the point of coming here at all?

That's what I have been wondering this whole time. He goes & talks to a camera. There are about 5 "reporters" in the room reading scripted questions and he waves to empty fields. It's a completed sham & joke.

There is absolutely zero interaction with anybody other than his handlers/jell-o feeders, so what is the point?

They are completely using this China Virus as an excuse to hide him. I listened to a little bit of today's "speech" and all he did was talk about CV. Joe - get a clue, the CV is behind us. People want a candidate who talks about the future & has a plan - you don't.

He was a good friend. He would ask me thoughtful questions about a lot of issues, probably I was the only conservative he ever knew. We always rode together when we had to attend a meeting in Sacramento because we would stop and eat at Popeye’s Chicken.

I heard he passed away a few months ago. Apparently he didn’t retire when he had planned to and died just weeks after he did retire.

“Apparently he didn’t retire when he had planned to and died just weeks after he did retire.”

Same thing happened to my sister. A very fast pancreatic cancer. Although I do think most of them are. Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg the exception. I wonder if we should start up our poll again?

ICE lodges detainers on 3 defendants in Baltimore murder with ties to MS-13

BALTIMORE – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged immigration detainers on three defendants charged in the May 29 murder of 16-year-old Gabriela Ardon. In addition to being illegally present in the United States, they are believed to be members or associates of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), a transnational criminal organization.

“In this case, two of the suspects arrested had previously been encountered by ICE but due to state and local policies that put politics above public safety, they were released to the street,” said Acting Baltimore Field Office Director Francisco Madrigal.

“This is the worst-case scenario when detainers are not honored.” ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) lodged detainers with the Baltimore County Detention Center on unlawfully present Salvadoran nationals Wilson Art Constanza-Galdomez, 21, and Wualter Orellana- Hernandez, 19, and unlawfully present Honduran national Jonathan J. Pesquera-Puerto, 19. All three have been charged with first degree murder, first degree assault, and kidnapping in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. The suspects were already in police custody in connection to a June 6 assault of three individuals resulting in the death of a woman. All entered the United States as minors.

ICE’s ERO officers in Suffolk County, New York, previously encountered Constanza-Galdomez in February 2018 when he was arrested on local charges, and he entered ICE custody March 3, 2018. An immigration judge subsequently granted him bond, and he was released from custody May 29, 2018. Constanza-Galdomez was again arrested in Suffolk County on local charges Dec. 8, 2018, and ICE lodged a detainer with the Suffolk County Jail. On April 17, 2019, after being sentenced to time served, he was released from Suffolk County First District Court despite an active ICE detainer. He did not appear for his immigration hearing, and an immigration judge ordered him removed to El Salvador Oct. 7, 2019.

Orellana-Hernandez was previously arrested on local charges by the Prince George’s County Police Department Jan. 20, 2020. ICE lodged a detainer with Prince George’s County Detention Center the same day, but the detainer was not honored, and he was released.

About Detainers

Under federal law, ICE has the authority to lodge immigration detainers with law enforcement partners who have custody of individuals arrested on criminal charges and who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable aliens. The detainer form asks the other law enforcement agency to notify ICE in advance of release and to maintain custody of the alien for a brief period of time so that ICE can take custody of that person in a safe and secure setting upon release from that agency’s custody. Yet, across the United States, several jurisdictions refuse to honor detainers and instead choose to willingly release criminal offenders back into their local communities where they are free to offend.

Sanctuary Policies Put Public Safety at Risk When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release a criminal alien onto the streets, it negatively impacts public safety. Any local jurisdiction thinking that refusing to cooperate with ICE will result in a decrease in local immigration enforcement is mistaken. Local jurisdictions that choose to not cooperate with ICE are likely to see an increase in ICE enforcement activity, as the agency has no choice but to conduct more at-large arrest operations.

A consequence of ICE being forced to make more arrests on the streets, the agency is likely to encounter other unlawfully present foreign nationals who would not have been encountered had we been allowed to take custody of a criminal target within the confines of a local jail. Additionally, once these criminals are out on the street, confirming their whereabouts is often time consuming and resource intensive. Many of our arrest targets are seasoned criminals who are savvy about eluding law enforcement.
