I need help from my more right-brained friends and those that have a better version of Word than I do.
I’m drafting a letter to the editor of our local paper about a recent incident involving BLM thugs. (I’m sure they are being transported here and the ignorant college kids are joining in)
I need help with phrasing that sounds wrong or changing words, or entire paragraph :-) writing is not my forte. I tried to throw in some numbers and spreadsheets but it didn’t seem to be relevant.
Also, my version of Word doesn’t tell me the number of words. I am limited to 300. If anybody could check how many are in here or the final copy as it gets edited that would be great.
Any and all suggestions or changes are very welcome and appreciated!
Here is the draft:
I’m writing in response to the numerous stories about the young man who had his young children in the car and rioters were blocking him from moving. I’m not going to mention his name because you’ve managed to do that numerous times, splashing it and his address on the front page.
“Protesters” staying in the crosswalk and not moving when drivers honk, or inch forward are no longer peaceful protestors. Why does the Johnson City police allow these people to disrupt the lives of the people paying taxes? This is not intended for the policeman on duty, I’m sure they would do their jobs if they were allowed - it’s for whatever liberal entity is tying their hands.
Your story said that a witness stated that the driver of this car was inching forward. What else do you expect people to do? Someone who doesn’t move when blocking a car that is inching forward slowly is not doing anything peaceably or lawfully. If you let these thugs disrupt peoples’ lives and insist on calling it a peaceful protest, you’re going to get what happens next in other liberal cities – looting followed by burning followed by murders. We didn’t move from a blue state to be subjected to the same foolishness here. And if you don’t stop it now, you’re going to have a lot more problems on your hands after the election. I guess if the police can’t do their job protecting the people of the city, we’ll have to call in some more 17 year old boys with the courage and convictions grown men should have.
And why publish his name and address? You know the thugs are going to be targeting him and his family now, with the lawlessness that is allowed to happen. Why don’t you arrest the people that are stopping Johnson City citizens from going about their daily lives, and publish their addresses? I bet half of them will be from out of the state, crossing state lines to riot. That is a felony of the federal “Anti-Riot Act” and Conspiracy to Cross State Lines to commit acts of riot, and other planned criminal actions.

Yes. Somehow, we must take back our schools & stop the 12 to 16 years of radical indoctrination and lack of discipline & respect It is ruining our country.
I keep saying it, they are not learning institutions anymore the are at best, babysitting facilities and at worst, radical indoctrination camps.

Rush said the same thing a couple days ago that you just said, that Trump has steel ones. That Trump is the only one willing and able just stand in the way of the Liberals plans. I’m so glad Rush appreciates him now. Just need to get Levin apologize, but he is backing him thank goodness. We’re not fighting the media on the right this time.
Yes, Trump does know about it, but I don't think he can do anything, or much about it.
First, it will take a whole generation to get back on track
Second, even if Trump & DeVos implement a new curriculum, that would be a start, but you need to have teachers to teach to it. And we have seen the resistance. People who are rioting, aren't instantly going to change.
Somehow, we need to make teaching a worthwhile profession for conservatives. Make conservatives want to be teachers. If we stop indoctrinating kids, fewer SJW will be churned out as journalists & other professions, and conservatism or at least a somewhat a love of America will permeate society again.
Go back to teaching the basics. And don’t rewrite history. Treat each child as an individual, not part of a class of people.
