rereading your post NIKK. GABAPENTIN is the prescribed. It’s a drug used to prevent epileptic seizures and nerve pain. I was on it 20 years ago before my 2nd neck surgery and had to quit taking it because of involuntary jaw movement, it wouldn’t stop.
It’s a drug that has to be taken 3 times a day everyday. I will do that with any drug if I absolutely have to, like my BP meds. But I really prefer pain meds that I can take on an as needed basis. I guess I’m just quirky about being dependent on pharmaceuticals. I was hoping for a fix.
I’m thinking about sticking to my mouthwashes, I made some cloves tea, salt water, and my son got me Orajel wash, and then if it gets unbearable take a pain pill. If the pain gets to be 24/7, I’ll reacess.

I’m just asking for opinions, as my friend that I usually ask is in the medical field, so she usually, not always, is on board with the pharmaceutical solution to health problems.
