SECRET AGENT Sean Connery 90th birthday: How he’s gone from Bond star with string of stunning lovers to recluse in Bahamas tax haven.

EVEN with his thick, trademark eyebrows hidden by a pair of shades there is no mistaking the superstar smile of Sir Sean Connery.

But as he celebrates his 90th birthday today the man who James Bond fans say has never been bettered as 007 will be celebrating away from the glare of the cameras.

Not seen out in public for three years Connery has become a virtual recluse, determined to have nothing to do with showbusiness or the fictional spy who made him both rich and famous.

He rarely leaves a gated community in the Bahamas where he lives in splendid retirement with his second wife Micheline Roquebrune.

Once able to command eight figure fees for a movie role, the actor has given strict instructions to his agent to turn down all offers.

Instead he prefers to spend his days playing golf, which seems to have given him the unrefined joy that he never truly found making films.

NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN...Sean Connery's last Bond film...Barbara Carrera was great in that film...Alec Baldwin's ex-wife was OK...

Happy 90th birthday to Sir Sean Connery...He only has one son...I think Sir Sean is for Scottish independence...

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...I did watch that movie in 2002 in some movie theater in Hollywood...It was an average movie...

I had no idea that Steven Segal worked on Never Say Never Again as a fight coordinator...He did break Connery's wrist during training...

Connery was in A BRIDGE TOO FAR...As a British general commanding paratroopers...

“Recluse”? The man is 90 freakin’ years old. What the hell do they expect him to be out doing?

They sure did a decent job, with his hairpiece, back then.

Happy 90th, 007.

Yeah ... it’s called retirement. Lots of older folks do that.

“tax haven”, huh?

I saw another “Bond”, Roger Moore, on Johnny Carson. He too, left the UK and became a citizen of Switzerland, making no apologies fleeing the tax policies.

Probably pre-Thatcher.

Happy Birthday, Sean Connery.

I have them all, too.
Trivia time:
Which JB movie was it when Connery sings?
(No cheating)

He was the spy film version of Ron Jeremy.

Every average-looking man’s dream of endless babes drueling over his, er, prowess.

Sean Connery made the “Highlander” series fit to watch.

Ian Fleming was a bit reluctant of Sean at first but after seeing him in the first movie he gave Bond in the novel OHMSS a Scottish background.
