Classes have not even started at the College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, Massachusetts, but there are growing concerns over the students disregard of coronavirus safety protocols. Over the weekend, campus police busted a large party at an off-campus apartment rented by Holy Cross students, eliciting growing concerns that such gatherings could turn into coronavirus super-spreader events.
"Not only did the number of people in attendance exceed the state limit on the number of people at a gathering, but attendees were not wearing masks or adhering to physical distancing guidelines," said college administrators in a letter to the community, calling the behavior "highly irresponsible."
According to the school, the party has led to a potential cluster of infections, and if such behavior continues, the rest of the student body may be unable to return to campus, later this year.
Similarly, only eight days into the semester, Notre Dame was forced to cancel in-person classes for two weeks, after seeing a "dramatic increase" in positive coronavirus, with 336 students infected as of Friday. Most infections have stemmed from off-campus gatherings, according to the University's contact tracing analysis.
"Students infected at those gatherings pass it on to others, who in turn, pass the virus on to a further group, resulting in the positive cases we have seen," stated Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins on Tuesday, in a stern message to the community.

The day is still young.
Woodstock summer 69. Permit 68?
Fauci said he wanted “0” cases and was furious that all states did not totally shut down. He also said he didn’t give a damn about the economy. That’s not in his job description. Now those are my words...just interpreting his line of BS for everyday folks.
So?
Ok. I can see your point. Since this generation has been putting condoms on bananas since fourth grade instead of actually being educated it might be true
However we see an awful lot of unprotected sex in the local ER from college kids getting their shot of PCN
So what? Kids get it, they get sick, they get better and move on.
Mainstream Media, doing its part to close colleges, and suppress the student vote...
10 times as many College Kids will die from Alcohol as will die from the ChiCom Flu.
This is good for us for two reasons: obviously, depressed student vote, and second, depressing tuitions and college sports that damages universities’ bottom line. We have an opportunity to break these suckers.
Simple solution to the pandemic,,,,Make HCQ and Azithromycin OTC drugs so anyone who develops a cough and/or fever can go the nearest drug store and self medicate with the drugs along with Zinc Sulfate with correct dosage within 48 hours of symptoms and pandemic over.,,,,,instead of waiting a few days to get tested and 5 days for the results,,,,if over 60 years of age,,,,youre dead.
This was their plan, bring the kids back for a couple of week’s send them home again and keep the full tuition for online classes. I’d bet half the students would have taken the year off if they knew online classes were the plan. Bait and switch.
Its a virus that from the beginning has infected at least ten times as many people than have been tested. Around 90% of young adults have no symptoms or such minor symptoms that they do not seek any kind of medical attention, and do not get tested. Increasing “case” numbers from larger numbers of people being tested is completely meaningless.
You got it......no worse than the Asian Flu for kids..but the media has the PARENTS scared to death...
Where I live non of the kids wear masks...they probrobly figured this out on the internet..
My son is waiting to learn if his university will hold his science lab classes in person this semester, or make them “virtual.”
On one hand, he will learn the material (and, duh, the lab skills) better if he goes to class in person. On the other hand, he’ll have a more flexible work schedule if his classes go digital.
“how many BEGGED for HCQ and were denied”
Why would they? This disease doesn’t require it.
If todays Karens and Neils lived 78 years ago, wed have let Japan have Hawaii because of fear of catching the common cold.
Oh, no! We’re all gonna DIE. Thirty-six cases on all American campuses.
Considering the colleges output, shut them down!
So they go back on campus, and stack themselves 14 to a dorm room at parties...and anyone, anywhere is surprised?
So half the student population says, "Whatever, dude," and the other half is blaming the college administrations, because it's their fault.
Which brings us to an important truth...by and large, college age kids are stupid and irresponsible. Not all, mind you, but they're the exception to the rule.
So...why do so many adults, who should by all rights know better, spend any time or energy listening to some woke punk lecturing?
They will vote. In their home states.
