Classes have not even started at the College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, Massachusetts, but there are growing concerns over the students disregard of coronavirus safety protocols. Over the weekend, campus police busted a large party at an off-campus apartment rented by Holy Cross students, eliciting growing concerns that such gatherings could turn into coronavirus super-spreader events.
"Not only did the number of people in attendance exceed the state limit on the number of people at a gathering, but attendees were not wearing masks or adhering to physical distancing guidelines," said college administrators in a letter to the community, calling the behavior "highly irresponsible."
According to the school, the party has led to a potential cluster of infections, and if such behavior continues, the rest of the student body may be unable to return to campus, later this year.
Similarly, only eight days into the semester, Notre Dame was forced to cancel in-person classes for two weeks, after seeing a "dramatic increase" in positive coronavirus, with 336 students infected as of Friday. Most infections have stemmed from off-campus gatherings, according to the University's contact tracing analysis.
"Students infected at those gatherings pass it on to others, who in turn, pass the virus on to a further group, resulting in the positive cases we have seen," stated Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins on Tuesday, in a stern message to the community.

Keep the college leftists at home. Maybe they won’t vote.
How many of those 336 wound up in a hospital or died and how many BEGGED for HCQ and were denied?
Call the gathering a BLM Protest and nobody will catch the rona.
We must thank the colleges and students for striving to achieve herd immunity so quickly.
But, of course! We can’t let this bogus narrative DIE as we reach Herd Immunity!
Why, that would lessen Slow Joe’s chance at winning!
*SPIT*
So, ALL of these kids are now on respirators? No hope of ANY of them surviving?
Oy! These Enemy Media people!
How many students have died so far?
Remember the good ole days when we were only told to worry about people in hospital with covid?
Now justing testing positive is all hell breaking loose.
I HATE THE DEMOCRATS.
I doubt many of them even knew they were sick. We're demanding that college students cower in isolation over a disease that primarily kills 85-year olds in nursing homes.
Here is the insensitive questioning the day
So, what? They will all do fine. STDs probably spread faster in college with worse outcomes than this in the young population.
For the health of the children, the children, Colleges need to to go virtual and refund a significant portion of the tuition. For the children!!!
I realize it may result in many institutions closing, BUT FOR THE CHILDREN!!!
The local hospital found my aunt had MRSA when admitted in 2010.
She was not sick from it and never needed any medical treatment for it.

At some point the narrative went from flatten the curve to, we can have no cases whatsoever!”
Most people realize the danger is gone. Lets get on with it.
Could someone explain to me why Woodstock was allowed in 1968, even though that was the year of Hong Kong Flu? Did people figure back then that the flu killed mostly elderly or people with health issues?
How many even have symptoms?
How many cases of common cold/flu and std’s were reported, in the same time period?
I wouldn’t know, since I didn’t $#@# around in the university years, but I would guess many students that age would use protection for sex if they did, because most of them wouldn’t want to get a pregnancy or STDs if they could, but then again, some get really drunk so that’s that.
Let college students party for at least two months.
Classes could begin in November.
