Economist Steve Moore says that people are migrating out of states like New York, Illinois, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and into other states like Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, South Carolina and Florida.
"People are voting with their feet against the policies of blue state America," he said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast
Moore, the author of the book "Trumponomics," noted the U.S. economy's strong performance prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and said he believes that president Trump will secure reelection. He said that when voters cast their ballots, "it's not gonna be a popularity contest, it will be, 'Who do I really think can rebuild this economy?'"
Moore ranked the economic lockdowns amid the coronavirus pandemic as among the top "three or four mistakes in the history of our country."
"I think it could be, you know, years before we get back to where we were because we lost so many millions of businesses," he predicted. He also said that he has been "surprised" by the speed the economy has rebounded to the extent that it has thus far: "We've created 9.3 million jobs in the last three months, that's a lot," he said.
"I really regard China as Japan circa 1939. I really think that's how dangerous they are in terms of their aggressive military behavior and also, you know, their predatory economic practices which we can't put up with any longer," he said.
"I do believe in free trade but it's hard to be involved in free trade when you have a country that is trying to bury you," he explained.

I did a search...
They move and vote for the democrats..there will only be four red states in tens years..unless these democrats who move see the light..
Yep. And immediately vote for democrats and ruin wherever they go. They are like the plague. Blue death.
This is a double-edged sword...
I’m behind enemy lines here in MA, and over the years seen lots of strong Conservative friends leave for better pastures. I know that they are as conservative as their new “red-state” neighbors.
It makes it that much harder to remain here in MA. Being politically engaged here is like trying to punch thru a paper bag.
I know there is also a steady flow of sheeple and ‘Rats leaving as well... clearly evident in cities like Nashua.
I suspect Conservatives that remain conservative are more likely to move to the Oklahoma’s and Montana’s. Whereas, the local ‘Rats not satisfied to just ruin MA, stay more local, moving to RI or lower NH, where they can still be within reach of ‘Rat-held territory.
They’re like Muslims from the middle east. They move because Sharia law has made life intolerable and then when they come to the USA, want do they want? Sharia law.
Democrap voters should be forced to live in the sh&tholes they create. Yes it’s unconstitutional, but one can only dream. My brother lives in Manhattan, NYC, you should see his street, furniture and mattresses left on the sidewalk from all the people moving. His landlord wanted to raise his rent now he’s begging him to stay. That city voted not once but twice for that crap bag DeBlasio and the elderly killer Cuomo, and now they flee? How about sticking around and NOT voting democrap?
As long as those Yankees don't bring their brilliant political ideas with them.
And eventually deciding “That’s not how we did it in ________. We need to fix your system.”
LOL. Just this morning I saw a personalized MA plate ‘IMPP 45’ driving around my nice midwestern town. If it were on the interstate I’d figure he was off to Portland or San Francisco, but this was a bit off of the interstate.
—realtor buzz here in South Dakota is that houses are being bought sight unseen for asked price by escapees from our urban paradises——
They flee like rats from a burning ship, but they still carry the plague.
Unfortunately the migration contains liberals who only try to duplicate the same conditions elsewhere that destroyed their home states.
I saw something earlier today that looks like they are going to places like Colorado Springs, Binghamton, New Hampshire, and South as far as North Carolina. Thats mostly, not entirely, to say the least.
Things change
Nothing is the same forever
People DO change their political leanings
Most people moving now, will probably not even register to vote by November, hey you are moving, you got stuff to do
People do try to fit in with their environment though
If they move into a very conservative area, within five years, they are voting that way as well.
Since this is a voting year and moving is a ton of work, I will doubt most will even cast a ballot. If they are Democrats, they really don’t have a reason to vote.
That is the problem the Dems have, nobody has a reason to vote for any of them.
Other then “Orange Man Bad” what do they stand for?
Nobody knows the answer to that.
Ditto here in the Idaho Panhandle. Prices are insane. Places are selling over asking with multiple offers.
Did you figure out “IMPP 45”? I don’t get it.
They are for Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Chavez, Castro and Pol Pot style governance.

Colorado, Arizona and Nevada would tend to disprove that theory. Then there is Virginia of course.
