In the NEK - Vermont; no cases. No deaths. Must be b/c of the low population.

Let’s keep it that way.

Neighbor—right next door died. She was 70+, CPOD.
Good friend, died. 76. Good shape.

Co worker’s daughter had it two weeks ago. 30’ish, great shape. Bad, bad flu like symptoms—her husband was fine.

Another coworker, 40’ish. Bad flu. Down for 2 1/2 weeks. Knocked him on his butt.

These are all in MA.

12 deaths in my MILs nursing home, out of 158 beds.

My SIL had it. She’s about 45. Low grade fever for several days and nasty cough. She’s asthmatic but got through it OK. Her son and his girlfriend both had it, very mild symptoms. That was in South Texas.

NO one I know has had it. You’d think by all the drama in the press and the shutdown of our country that everyone could name at least 10 people each and a few who have died.

Brother, his wife, and 3 kids had it in Feb., maybe first cases in SC, although at the time, still a mystery. He secured IGM and IGG test to confirm antibodies. His 50 year old wife, bad case, might have died if hospitalized(laying in bed is killing people). Prednisone and Zpack for her and lots of walking around the farm.

Sons very overweight diabetic bad smoker wife,35, had it in July, about a week of the runs, headache but no cough, her 2 kids sick 48 hrs, her mother and sister and her 3 children mild cases also.

Wife lost 3 co workers, in their 50’s all overweight, one diabetic and high blood pressure, he most likely dehydrated and heart stopped from a week of the runs.

I’m in Texas. County has population of 230,000. I know one person who had cold-like symptoms and was tested positive. He was a physician at a indigent clinic. Other than that, it is a friend of a friend of a friend.

I have two relatives that just got over it, ages about 20 and 53.

Both said it wasn’t too bad and they are feeling well, back at activities, work, etc.

I have several friends who had it, have not had any reports, just know they are recovered.

Co-worker's mother in law died suddenly. Tests say she had covid, but died of a heart attack.
By the time test results came back as positive, 14 family members had been around
Of those, his eldest daughter and boyfriend tested positive, went to hospital, sent home since symptoms not that severe
Co-worker, wife and other daughter, negative
the 92 year old husband, Positive, asymptomatic.....
weird....

You might want to add Quercetin to your list. Dr Zelenko thinks it might be a good substitute for those who can't get the hydroxychloroquine.

I got a 5 day supply of hydroxychloroquine from https://speakwithanmd.com/corsination/

I wanted to get Ivermectin too to keep on hand, but they wouldn't do it.

I think this is over-hyped, but I'm older too, but with pretty good health.

I’ve known roughly 500 or so people with it. Some did well others did not. I expect that if the 500 or so known positive cases I have treated is 10% of the cases we know of statistically, then i suppose 5000 people I have run across out and about have had it.

What this thread demonstrates is exactly what we know about the disease. The vast majority of people have mold and self limited symptoms. They do fine. Some people inexplicably suffer greatly. And some die. Sounds just like every other virus on the planet particularly that it wipes out the old and informed. Unlike H1N1 Which had a predilection for the middle aged

I also know that decadron seems to work very well. Remdesivir is unimpressive and convalescent plasma is unimpressive. I know that the death rate from ventilators is around 38% which is exactly the same death rate with ARDS of any other disease. So vents in fact do not kill people.

Finally I know that in my hot zone we peaked approximately July 10. My own hospital had 141 known cases in house with numerous positives that were sent home from the ER with enhanced monitoring. Today there are 43 in house. I worked the last three days and only one admission. The time line holds that every other region demonstrates. Namely from start to finish it takes about 80 days to work it’s way through a community.

There is excellent evidence to show that herd immunity takes place at 20% or so because of partial immunity conveyed by other corona virus infections previously encountered. I believe we are at herd immunity in NY NJ, Fl, AZ and getting close in Tx and Ca. I believe this whole thing will be past not later than December 1 regardless of vaccine or treatment as this is the natural life of a pandemic

Everything else is political.

I’m pretty sure I had it when I traveled home from Iraq in early January. Before the hysteria and there were not tests.

Low grade fever, body aches like I’ve never had, shortness of breath. Lots of water, rest, Nyquil to help sleep but didn’t work so well...not sure if it was because I was so sick or because it’s been watered down. Was going to go to ER on 4th day, but woke up feeling find.

Buddy of mine who is in law enforcement met with local hospital staff. Head Dr told him they’ve been dealing with it since last December just didn’t know what it was. Sent folks home with typical flu regimen: rest, fluids, stay away from folks.

Same friend got it about a month ago. Yes....he contracted the DEADLIEST virus on the planet. Said it was like a very mild head cold. Told to go home, stay away from folks, rest, fluids and take Tylenol. Took him 6 days to talk to a doctor on line. I asked him if he was supposed to go back for a follow up and get retested. They never mentioned anything about that.

I know a few others that had it. Some just felt like crap. One had a couple of nights in the hospital. Others felt like they had a mild flu.

I may have had a mild case back in March, but the symptoms were too mild for me to be tested. Body aches, fatigue, upper respiratory symptoms. Stayed home, treated it as I would a cold, and it was completely gone within one week.
