We always have a choice whether to wear masks or not.
We always have a choice of what doctor we can see.
We always have a choice of what magazine we can buy for our firearms.
We always have a choice of what health care coverage we want to purchase.
We always have a choice of what legal Rx that our doctor prescribes for us we can buy.
We always have a choice of what religious services we can attend and when and with whom.

I think they’re talking about a specific strain in the infographic for Influenza. It’s about 37,000 deaths per year from all strains of Influenza per CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html)
The difficulty with vaccinating against Influenza is that there are multiple strains - any one of which can become active in human populations at any given time - and all of them mutate rapidly. It takes months to develop and produce gen 1 and gen 2 vaccines, so they have to look at what strains are dominant months in advance and look at where the shifts are happening to try and guess what they’ll need to have ready for our actual flu season. There’s no way around that without a new vaccine type.
Moderna is one of the companies developing a third generation vaccine type for SARS-CoV-2. It uses mRNA to cause ribosomes to produce the glycoprotein that is the antigen for SARS-CoV-2; essentially having your own body’s cells produce the antigen that trains your immune system. There’s nothing to “grow” (culture) with this vaccine type so it can be developed and produced very quickly and cheaply. We could then produce it much closer to flu season which would give us a much more effective vaccine (currently it’s usually around 30-50% effective each year). That could save a lot of those 37,000 we lose each year.

Where have I been? Listening to President Trump specifically state the vaccine will NOT be mandatory. And if somebody said it was, I would absolutely fight against that. It should absolutely been voluntary and I haven’t seen any evidence anywhere that it will be anything but voluntary.

And if the democrats do succeed in stealing this election then mail-in voting is here to stay.
I expect them to try to make it mandatory in order to see any sort of healthcare provider. They will put it into a database, HIPAA laws be damned, and refusal will mean no health care and possibly followup by some sort of “compliance authority.”

I’ll continue to post factual information in response to blatant fearmongering and misinformation. I don’t know why anyone would want to drive up the amount of fear going around when CNN and MSNBC are already doing a fine job of that, but I have every intention of crushing that fear with basic facts that help people understand what’s going on and - most importantly - how all this mess ends.
