Social media users are circulating posts making the unsubstantiated claim that California Senator Kamala Harris, recently chosen to be Democratic presidential candidate Joe Bidens running mate, was identified as Caucasian on her birth certificate by her parents.
The posts are accompanied by an image purportedly of Harriss birth certificate. Reuters has contacted Harris to ask whether this image is an authentic reproduction of her birth certificate, and this check will be updated accordingly. Regardless of authenticity, the claim that this image proves that Harris birth certificate identifies her as Caucasian is false.
Examples of the claim are visible here, here and here.
The image of the birth certificate shows a red circle around the portion of the certificate that would ostensibly prove the claim. A closer look at the image shows that this section indicates the color or race of the mother, listed as Caucasian. A few lines beneath it, the color or race of the father, is listed as Jamaican.
The image of the certificate does not appear to specify Kamala Harris race, contrary to the posts claim.

Shes Hot.
Hahahahahahahaha!
The ol’ “One Drop” rule strikes again.
That ship sailed when the usurper took office.
I hope you don’t surrender the rest of the Constitution so easily.
Much like the argument about “natural born”, this argument is a non starter. If they want to call her “black”, I guess that is up to her.
I tend not to look at skin color in stuff. The whole “content of their character” thing really does ring true. And it doesn’t work in her favor.
I hadn't thought of it in those terms. More like one of those things I don't like but can't do anything about.
I'd love to see President Trump get his people to work on that, and term limits, and requiring that all political donations be anonymous (can't sell influence if you don't know who's buying, but Americans should be allowed to fund any party or candidate they wish; that's FREEDOM).
I’m not suggesting that her racial makeup is of any consequence. At least not to me. I’m curious because if it is true it simply dovetails with all the other Democrat hypocrisy regarding identity politics and race. They are the racists, they pound the race drum day after day.
They are making her skin color her primary qualification. By doing that they make her racial background relevant in the sense that it disqualifies their argument.
I was born in Alameda County, at the naval hospital in 1952. I will have to get my birth certificate out and look at it.
I know it has my footprints on it, they were very cute feet lol
Make sure it has “Birth Certificate” ( those words in that order ) , at least if that is how the state titles official birth documents, ie; BC , COLB etc.. Orly Taitze would know all of this. (She should be chiming in on all this ...)
People from India are 95% Caucasian. The people of North-East India are less Caucasian - some closer to 0% - as they are Tai-Kadai or Tibeto-Mongol.
People of the Andaman island are negritos (related to Papua New Guineans and Aborigines - they separated from the rest of humanity 40K years ago), however by physical structure are caucasian.
Kamala’s mother is Tamil - Dravidian, that’s a Caucasian sub-group.
Next you say “Aryan, but not caucasian” - 70% of India is Aryan - the north and north-western part.
Aryan is a sub-group of caucasian so saying “Aryan, maybe but not Caucasian” is nonsensical like saying “A holstein, maybe, but not a cow”.....
“Ceylon Tamii Indian Caucasian”
Ceylon Tamii??? What the heck is Tamii?
you mean Tamil - and her grandparents are from Tamil Nadu on the Sub-continent, not on the island of Ceylon.
Kamala Harris is definitely 50% Tamil (Dravidian-Caucasian).
The Jamaican part is most definitely an admixture of West African and native American, but also with Spanish, Irish, Scottish, English, French, most likely also Indian and Chinese blood.
She most definitely does not have “African-American” ancestry as in ancestors who were slaves in what became the USA.
Her parents were both legal residents of the USA under American jurisdiction and liable to US laws and regulations.
Kamala Harris was born on American soil to legal residents who were under American jurisdiction.
They were residents and subject to USA laws. As per the 14th amendment she was born an American citizen. Remember, it was Wong Kim Ark, in 1898, that considered the question directly, and expressly concluded that the children of foreign citizens (there, citizens of China) were American citizens. And though the parents there were permanent residentsalbeit ones who returned to China when Wong Kim Ark was 17rather than students, the logic of the case would apply to people living here on student visas, as well
the minimum criteria set forth by the Constitution are solely that the person be a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and have been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
I wouldnt vote for Kamala Harris for Vice-President (or for President); but she is indubitably constitutionally eligible to the office.
Vermont: “content of their character” —> exactly. And if we spend too much time talking about “natural born”, we divert attention from that
Typo
Ah :) I thought it was some kind of code word!!!
LOL, I did not know that!
Anyone born with more than one nationality is not naturally an American.
Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they have one nationality and could not be anything else.
“which is likely why Kamala has Caucasian on her birth certificate”
Caucasian is in her mother’s section of the birth certificate.
