Country music legend Dolly Parton spoke out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement during a recent interview with Billboard magazine.
In an article published this week, Parton, 74, said that while she hasn't participated in the protests sparked by the deadly police shooting of Minneapolis man George Floyd, she supports demonstrators' right "to make themselves known and felt and seen."
"And of course Black lives matter," she told the magazine. "Do we think our little white [expletive] are the only ones that matter? No."
Parton added that she's "not a judgmental person" and believes that "we all have a right to be exactly who we are."
In addition, she explained why she decided in 2018 to drop the word "Dixie" from the name of her dinner theaters in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Branson, Missouri, now known as Dolly Parton's Stampede, following criticism.

“When they said ‘Dixie’ was an offensive word, I thought, ‘Well, I don’t want to offend anybody.”
Well, I am thinking, Dolly, idiot, that I am offended when you take away the name, “Dixie.” So, therefore, to extend your attempt at logic, you are supposed to put the name Dixie back up, since, gee, “I don’t want to offend anyone.”
I have never been able to understand her appeal.

Dolly leads a life that insulates her from criminal “black lives.” When the day comes, and it will, that they find her shiny, white a$$ and kick it around some, she’ll be hit with reality.
She’s seen all the rioting and looting and destruction, so, to protect her properties, she’s caving in to them.
Wouldn’t want anything to happen to her restaurants and Dollywood theme park. What she fails to understand is that, it’s not about black lives, it’s about the anarchists and terrorists that want this country destroyed and remade in the image of those fabulous socialist/communist countries.
Dumb, Dolly. They’re coming after you too. You’re blond, you’re white, you’re rich, and they want to take back what they say you took from them. Better get some good insurance, quickly.
