I’m increasingly convinced that #SARSCoV2 is a creation of the media/technology complex. (NO - I do not mean it’s not real or was bioengineered.) What I mean is: aside from a couple of weeks in a handful of cities worldwide - including, sigh, the world’s media capital...
The overall effects of this epidemic have essentially been impossible for the average person to see without a microscope. Hospitals are not overflowing. Bodies are not piling up in the streets. Most of us will never know anyone under 55 (65? 70?) who has died of #Covid.
But instead many people feel like the world is ending? Why? More than anything else, it’s the obsessive - almost sordid - fascination with death counts, updated in real time and presented without context (average age of victims, how many people generally die in a year, etc)...
Why are we counting deaths this way? We’ve never done this for any other illness. Never. And there are lots of reasons, but maybe the most important is that we’re doing this largely because we can - because the technology now exists to aggregate these counts almost instantly.
And then both conventional and social media are blasting out these figures not just every day but every second - from the @cnn deathmeter to @nytimes heatmaps to everyone screaming on Twitter. True story: at this point #SARSCoV2 worldwide is slightly worse than a bad flu year...
And the 700,000 people it has killed worldwide are less than half the number who have died or traffic accidents OR diarrhea OR tuberculosis this year, less than 2% of all deaths.
There has never been anything like this before, but not because of the virus.

What history will record as the great COVID coup of 2020 is based on lies and fear manufactured by America’s ruling class - led by the Democratic Party and aided by the complaisance of most Republican politicians.
In March, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) presented the coronavirus to the Western world as a danger equivalent to the plague. But China’s experience, which its government obfuscated, had already shown that COVID-19 was much less like the plague and more like the flu. All that has happened since followed from falsifying this basic truth.
Americans were led to believe that the virus was unusually contagious, and that it would kill up to one in 20 persons it infected—a 5 percent infection/fatality rate (IFR). Today, we still lack definitive, direct knowledge of COVID-19’s true lethality. The absence of that knowledge allows bureaucrats to continue fearmongering.
By May, a host of studies in the U.S. and around the world showing that the vast majority of COVID cases cause mild symptoms or none, and showing the IFR to be equal to or lower than that for most flus, forced the CDC to conclude that the lethality rate, far from being 5 percent, was 0.26%––double that of a typical flu. Instead of amending their recommendations in the face of this reality, the CDC and the U.S. government tried to hide it by manipulating the definition and number of COVID “cases.”
Federal officials defined “cases” as people sick enough to be hospitalized who also tested positive for the virus—this represented the “curve” that we were urged to sacrifice so much to “flatten,” lest a wave of hospitalizations overwhelm our health-care system.

Seasonal Influenza kills about 37,000 people per year on average. SARS-CoV-2 has killed 169,000 in less than half a year. That’s over four and a half years worth it flu deaths in less than six months. And it’s ongoing; currently taking the lives of 1,067 Americans each day (7-day moving average https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us).
In terms of total deaths, SARS-CoV-2 has killed more Americans than any flu outbreak except the 1918 Spanish flu. Between June 1957 and March 1958, Asian flu killed 116,000 people in the United States (https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/1957-1958-pandemic.html). The 1968 H3N2 (Hong Kong) flu pandemic killed about 100,000 in the United States (https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/1968-pandemic.html).
If this were a flu (and it’s not - SARS-CoV-2 is as closely related to Influenza as human beings are to snails), it would ALREADY be the second worst flu in well over a century and it’s still ongoing. Not even a bad flu? That’s just demonstrably absurd.
Should we be shutting down the economy over it? Absolutely NOT. Should we be taking it seriously and taking reasonable steps (like Sweden has been) to mitigate its impact while we finish up work on a safe and effective vaccine? YES. President Trump knows that. He’s been trying to tell people that for some time. The message is getting lost in the noise. Some of us are listening to him.
I was born in ‘51 and just have vague recollections of the polio outbreak. I do remember getting a yummy sugar cube, though.

They can kiss my butt. I’m sick of these people explaining away tyranny as being reasonable. Tonight I am falsely under house arrest because of this tyranny. This tyranny is of the devil; it’s demonic. Shine the light on it! Expose the evil. And expose those who explain it away as the helpers of demons that they are.

Treating the flu the same? The governor of NM says she will continue masks, distancing, and lockdowns, after the Covid pandemic is declared over, as a way to minimize the danger of seasonal flu.
How many people do you know personally have died, been seriously ill, or have suffered any sort of disability?
I am old enough to remember polio. It was real. People did die or were crippled by it. There was a child in my neighborhood playgroup who caught it and was on crutches and a leg brace. A college roommate was crippled by it. But I am so grateful that the greatest generation (my parents) and their parents did not shut the country down over it. I am glad that despite that scourge, our country grew and prospered, that I could breathe fresh air and because of our continued prosperity, there was hope, courage and optimism, there were resources to help those young people who had succumbed and that in time a vaccine was found. What we are doing now is crazy. We are allowing our irresponsible media and our politicians to scare us into collapsing our economy and destroy our constitution.
That being said, my parents like parents everywhere did take steps to keep children safe, such as keeping children home in polio weather, etc., and so the numbers of polio victims was small. They did it without wearing masks or quarantines or giving up any civil rights whatsoever.
Now, we are going crazy, for what? I ask you again:
Who do you know has become seriously sick with this or has died? Who has suffered any long-term side effect? Because of fear, we will not allow ourselves to be reasoned with.
This is NOT a serious illness except for a few vulnerable demographics who could be protected without depriving anyone of any of their civil rights, including the right to breathe fresh air without the encumbrance of a hot suffocating Petri dish over the lower face which impairs the ability to adequately oxygenate and will (eventually) wreak havoc on the immune system.
Is this the end-time mass delusion that the Bible speaks of? Is this mask the trial run for the mark of the beast where none may buy or sell who does not wear the mark?
