DP was told an hour ago that the Big 10 and Pac 12 will cancel their football seasons tomorrow… The ACC and the Big 12 are on the fence.. And the SEC is trying to get teams to join them for a season.

Dan Patrick reported during his radio show this morning the Big Ten has voted.
There won’t be a college football season this fall.
Patrick said a source told him that the Big Ten and Pac-12 will cancel their seasons on Tuesday. He said he learned the Big 12 and ACC are “on the fence,” and that the SEC is trying to get the other teams to join them for a season this fall.
The Big Ten presidents voted 12-2 to not play this fall. Patrick said only Nebraska and Iowa voted to play.

Football is different because its a contact sport. After the Houston/Oakland bench clearing brawl last nite they might be rethinking MLBs season. Lol
And yes if a conference could pull off a stand alone league it would be the sec.
I don’t care about the football teams but I feel sorry for all the vendors, the folks that are earn money selling everything from booze to T-shirt’s, their the ones that will suffer in this top heavy system

First, there will be no landslides....if the Republicans win, it will be narrowly. That’s where this country is and the devastation of life that has been imposed - the shut down of everything - will rebound on Trump at some level...because he didn’t or couldn’t “solve” it. Unfair, given that society is at war - the country irrevocably divided, but there will be some effect.
Second, if nothing else works correctly in this country, how can we ever believe that the election will be untainted? And if we believe that the “revolutionaries” will cheat at every turn, I assure you they will think the same of us, using whatever silly fig leaf they come up with. So here are your options: they win and take all power...or we win and they increase the fervor of their already violent revolution. Do you think after an election they will disappear, or that we will suddenly be able to stop them with force, just because a vote happened? Think it through. Revolutions don’t just pack up their bags and home because a plurality didn’t vote for them.
It’s the degradation of society that I am really talking about - it’s crystal clear by how we’ve responded to the virus and to the violent upheaval in the cities. That is what shows us how far we’ve fallen as a society.

I am totally with you on Pro sports BUT these kids it is their DREAM, I will NEVER watch another FB game again OR MB game again and I LOVE MB but I have gotten so used to being without it no loss to keep up not viewing again!!
Yes WE feel this way, BUT these college kids have put their entire lives into these sports HOPING to go pro MANY are minorities and their dream has just been ripped away!! I frankly wish these kids would NOT ever go to college and learn a trade these universities are destroying our culture, but these kids are receiving a devastating blow right now!!

This will be a disaster for the pussy Big-10 and Pac-12 -- dozens of players will enter the transfer portal to get the chance to play this fall. Any Senior or Junior with NFL chances will transfer to play, or will sit out the spring season to avoid injury before the draft.
The Little-10 and Wimp-12 will end up as minor league conferences next year.

On the plus side, the Pac 12 has the same chance of getting a team into the playoffs as they do every other year.
The bullying will be the other conferences who are wussing out lobbying the NCAA to shut down the SEC as well. Another reason why they might leave.
ESPN needs programming and revenue. And besides I think CBS holds the rights to SEC games.

I guess they could join another conference so they could vote to cancel that conference’s season too.
Since the Big Ten doesn’t seem to be able to do basic math by keeping their name despite the number of teams in their league, maybe they can just change their name to Big Nineteen in honor of their excuse to not play.
I’d keep my eye on November 4...or even a number of days after that.
Communist revolutionaries do not respect elections. Any Trump win will be hotly contested after the fact. Even more hotly contested and under-handidlycontested than last time...when they hamstrung Trump by taking out Mike Flynn, who had the understanding and knowledge, and could have guided him through the minefields set in Intelligence community and in the FBI. Much more hotly this time...it will be war in the streets, cities in rubble and they will dare him openly to take lives - against the will of the elected local government - to stop it.
They double down and then double down again on violence and chaos. They don’t respect any election that they don’t win. It isn’t November 3rd that’s the big issue. It’s what comes after.
This society is irrevocably broken and irrevocably divided. And it is weak in spirit and weak in its soul. The enemy has done his job effectively. It can not stand. There has to be a bloodbath for anything to be decided. Buy guns, buy ammo and get to someplace where people will defend themselves.
