Kiefer Sutherland has admitted that hes open to the idea of returning for more episodes of 24.
The star played Jack Bauer for nine seasons before the show wrapped up in 2014.
He previously said he wouldnt rule out reprising the role in 2016 and now Sutherlands admitted again he is open to the idea.
Ive always left the door slightly ajar for 24 if someone comes up with a great idea, the actor told Forbes.
As an actor, 24 remains one of the most dynamic experiences Ive ever had. Where a character was allowed to have such highs and lows in such a fast period of time is a gift.
There are very few setups that will allow you to do that, and I find that incredibly fun, challenging, and exciting. Theres been nine seasons, and I think it rests in a credible place. The difficulty is you dont ever want to do anything that is going to damage that.
Sutherland also said he wouldnt mind what form the show would take, whether it returned as a series or a movie.
Ive been banging my head against a brick wall for a movie for so long that Ive got a concussion, he said. Honestly, the form more 24 would take doesnt matter to me as much as the quality of the story.
If someone comes up with a great story that can be told in two hours, then were going to make a movie, but if someone comes up with a great story that could be 24 hours, well do the show.

Not after he has an affair with a tranny of color he won't.
That’s the exact same time we quit watching also! It seemed like a good show until the PC crap started, we left.
Well with a title like “Disgusted Survivor”, I wouldn’t have had high expectations anyway.
Every terrorist will be a white supremist.
In other words, he needs money.
No, he’s doesn’t need more money...he’s running out of time...tick tock
Tonight on “Agents of Globalism” Jack Bauer and a bunch of other misguided utopians push right past obvious bad guys in plain sight to corner right wing extremists in rural Arkansas and neutralize the Nazi threat to freedom, which pleased their Chicom masters greatly.
Stay tuned for all new “Continuous Mindless Gunplay” where ambiguous agents of some unknown power shoot off guns for about fifty five minutes killing a lot of people who were up to no good, apparently. There will of course be a car chase where several vehicles tumble through the streets of a big city horrifying onlookers. The ambiguous agents will not even be hurt by the nearly total destruction of their SUV, and will crawl out with guns blazing. Ads for female beauty products will provide a jarring juxtaposition.
It was a good show until it turned left.
