As I listen to Democrats attack Trump for being racist I have to laugh at the irony. Before and during the Civil War Democrats in Congress owned slaves. They fought a war to expand slavery into the Western states. Democrats championed the fugitive slave act. They wanted to hold onto their slaves as they viewed them as property. Republicans did not want slavery to expand westward and overwhelmingly wanted slavery ended.
Today, Democrats accuse Americans, mostly white Americans of racism, although no one of any skin color is safe if they have different political views than Democrats. The Democrats assume a lofty moral high ground but it is undeserved. It is undeserved because the Democrat Party never apologized for the sin of being the champions of slavery.
How can they ever be trusted to act in good faith ethically? How can they judge anyone's moral stature? How much slaver culture endures within the Democrat Party? How can any American feel safe with a political party that is unrepentant for one of the highest moral sins?
I think their most used if not greatest sin today is pointing the finger and calling others racist with no context to justify it. They call Trump a racist, but what has he ever done or said that is racist? They won’t tell, only that he’s a racist because they say so and no other reason. So it’s a scurrilous lie, the same one they use on anyone who gets in their way.
They haven’t changed in over 130 years.
There are a number of them lurking here, believe me and I know who they are.
Their idea of an apology would take the form of reparations,, so be careful what you wish for.
Their greatest sin is their utter hypocrisy and vicious exploitation of Black people for political gain. For decades, they have played both sides of the street - USING Black people when it benefited them, and treating them like crap when that was useful, too.
Often, even very intelligent Black people don’t see this - either because, as individuals, they tend not to be terribly political, or have been conditioned, for generations, now, to the idea that the Democrats have the best interests of Black people at heart.
I had a friend, a Black lady who had been born into abject poverty, and pulled herself up on her own initiative to where, when she finally passed, she was a respected professional earning well over 6 figures. She wasn’t a terribly politically savvy person - she was very involved in her work and her family.
We were talking one day, during the time when Herman Cain was being abused by the leftists. I asked her, ‘have you noticed that whenever a Black man gets near to power, the left pulls out ugly sexual allegations against him?’
She asked for an example. I suggested Clarence Thomas - and Herman Cain. I told her that the left played into some of the ugliest, racist notions that some white people have about Black people, to try and destroy those men.
She didn’t have much to say after that; but I do think it gave her pause and food for thought.
That’s true, the Left is very racist when blacks oppose their goals. I also see that the Left’s socialist policies are just another form of slavery, a type of creeping economic slavery. Blacks were the target first and now everyone else.
I’m only talking about the Democrat Party as an organization, not Democrats living today. They do owe the apology, although I see your point. No, it would be a grievous wrong for Democrats to take money from Americans to assuage their own deserved guilt.
I have been looking for that pic for awhile. Thanks for posting it!
In truth, the Democrats will never forgive the Republicans for freeing the Democrats’ slaves..
It also seems to me the Democrat governors love the lockdown. To me, it’s that slaver tendency that has never left them.
