The Big Ten released its schedule for the 2020 season on Tuesday.

The conference is expected to begin holding regular-season games on Sept. 3. Big Ten teams are currently slated to hold five home games and five away games. All teams in the conference stuck with nine opponents that were on their original 2020 schedules.

The season will open with Illinois hosting Ohio State on Thursday, Sept. 3. Indiana will head to Madison to face Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 4. The rest of the teams will play the weekend of Sept. 5.

The final games of the season are scheduled for Nov. 21 to align with the end of the academic calendar.

The Big Ten Football Championship stays put on Dec. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium but the new schedule allows for flexibility to possibly push it back to Dec. 19.

Nice play off the conference name to have each team play 10 games this season.

Won’t happen.

What is the political leaning of 90% of colleges and universities? They will weather the financial hit if it helps create a climate that would lead to President Trump’s defeat.

Many of those logos look really aggressive and should have a trigger warning.

I mean, look at that male-dominated trojan, which is the sign for condoms which are used on the sexual weapon only wielded by men.

And that menorah! Clearly the Jews have taken over college sports like everything else!

And do not get me started on the upside down “W” that is tuned into an “M.” Clearly a signal that Men are dominant over Womyn!

Excuse me, but it is a good thing mah couch is right here, ‘cause I am gettin tha vapors!

Can someone explain to me why we are doing this exclusive within Conference re-scheduling thing to fight Covid? I don’t get it.

Notre Dame was supposed to play Wisconsin at Lambeau field on September 3rd...would have been a heck of a game.

[gasp!] That's a Michigan State Spartan, sir. The "trojans" are that school in LA that everyone in the Big Ten learns to hate with a passion sooner or later.

One reason is so that the conference can have uniform procedures as far as distancing, PPE, sanitation, etc.

Another reason is that it's a heck of a lot easier to shuffle games around if some need to be cancelled due to covid. OOC games are generally governed by legal contracts. The conference office can move a conference game around or cancel it any time they want to.

Another reason to do conference-only is that OOC games are meaningless as far as divisional champion selection is concerned, and the most important thing to a lot of people is to pick a conference champion in December.

I do not take things for what they ARE, sir! I take them for what I THINK they are! Please do not do violence on me with your facts!

(OK that is it — I cannot pretend to be a DUmb lefty anymore without manually removing brain cells LOL).

Anyone who watches or supports any sports that pushes the blm communism/anti-Americanism and any other political BS is supporting anti-Americanism. The hell with any sports that stoops so low. There are many other things more enjoyable in life than to watch these cretins disrespect and insult the United States.

Yeah but the social distancing rules on the lines, in the backfield and between receivers and DBs are REALLY going to affect the game!

The nice thing about college football is that the National Anthem is (almost) always played when the players are still in the locker room, so you won’t see any of them kneeling, or standing for that matter.

Too much money at stake to cancel.

Just cancel the entire season except for Ohio State vs. Michigan. It's the only college football game that matters anyway. :-)

That works on many levels. I'm not even sure why the national anthem is played before any sports game to be honest.

I don't want to know anybody's politics by looking at their jerseys. One of our US Senators from Georgia is an owner of a WNBA team and her team was wearing jerseys supporting her Democrat opponent. I wonder if that's considered an in-kind contribution of some sort.
