Well your first and last reasons do not seem to be very different from what could happen NCAA-wide. Your second reason may make sense. I don’t know much about the legalities and contracts. I guess I’m still tongue-in-cheek about the whole thing.

M vs OSU is week 7 in this schedule. Last weekend has OSU hosting Iowa, which clobbered the Buckeyes in their last meeting, knocking them out of the playoffs.
The NFL was thinking of going that route, but our side had a fit about that. Somehow it’s OK for college players to be in the locker room, but not the pros.
