I really like Jordan, but his story is hard to believe in its entirety.

It’s weird how medications can affect different people very differently.

After hip surgery I stopped the Oxy pain relievers using a very short rampdown. Hated that crap. Sleeplessness and anxiety attacks happened over the next 2 weeks - it was hell. I can’t imagine having my chemistry messed up that bad over that length of time.

It was great to see him speak again. Listening to him for so many years was wonderful. Very few people have influenced our culture for the positive as much as he did.
What a strange story, what a tragedy. I hope he makes the best comeback ever.

I had a shoulder surgery some years ago (rotator cuff). I woke up the day after, having been given some a strong dose of some kind of powerful opiod. Waking up with the entire universe spinning, not knowing if I was on the floor or the ceiling, I decided not to take one more of those pills.
The disorientation was far worse than the pain, which was awful. I can imagine getting hooked on something like that.

I had cervical stenosis and was on oxy for
14 weeks. Was taking 4 a day the first 2 weeks and down to 3 a day after first shot. 4 weeks later had a second shot as they localized the area and was down to mostly 2 a week, if I had a really busy day might be 3, a really light day 1. Still had some pain but it was tolerable.
Didn’t drink the whole time. Never had a buzz, never had hallucinations. All I had was less pain so I could function. Talked to a army friend at the range and he had the same experience. It really does affect people differently.
