Not only were they propaganda, the people conducting the studies KILLED people by withholding proper treatment, to help them produce their propaganda.

Just curious, Jim are you taking hydroxychloroquine PrEP?  Also are you an in-patient, out-patient or academic doctor.  I like to understand motivations as this helps me understand a viewpoint.

The researchers sent either hydroxychloroquine or a placebo by mail to 821 people who had been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient for more than 10 minutes without proper protection.

They reported in The New England Journal of Medicine that 12% of the people who took the drug went on to develop COVID-19 symptoms, versus 14% in a placebo group, a difference that was not statistically significant.

Well that's a useless study. Exposure doesn't mean infection in the first place. If only 14% of the placebos even tested positive, that means that number ±x were potentially exposed in the drug trial. That ± number is so inexact, maybe 1/2 the drug guys would have gotten, but were saved. Maybe NONE of them would have gotten it, and the drug did nothing. Poor controls here mean the results are useless.
