I stopped to get gas yesterday and there was a new cashier. I walked in without a mask (it was around my neck). This cashier actually came out from the back and went to the far corner of the store while asking me to put my mask on. He was wearing one, btw. So he came back to the front and when I said I had a medical condition, he asked if I had a note from my doctor. I said no. I don’t recall seeing any “mandate” that we have to provide proof from our doctor. Anyone?

Anyway, did you ask the gas station cashier what their policy is for keeping their pump handles and such clean and disinfected? Because I don’t see anyone out there spraying and wiping the pumps every half hour, or after every customer.

Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., sharply rebuked the FBI and suggested that the Department of Justice could potentially pursue charges of treason in connection with conduct related to the Trump-Russia investigation.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act you are not required to say anything regarding your health. Not to mention all the Hipaa rules and regs.
You look them straight in the eye and say, “Due to privacy issues and the ADA I do not have to disclose my health issues to you.” If they persist, then leave your items on the counter, pay for the gas, and say not only will you be calling the manager of said gas station, but will be putting this complaint on yelp and writing a letter of complaint to the gas station. Do not take this sitting down. Stand your ground. As you walk out, say “I won’t be back!” I did that with Rite Aid. It wasn’t over a mask, but over the stupid 10cents bag price. I raised a lil stink and got my dime back. Said “thank you and I won’t be back.”
Thankfully Walmart has backed down. I took the grandsons into Walmart yesterday, said leave the masks in the car and when we walked in we were stopped twice. I looked at both people and said “No we don’t have them, we’ll look for masks inside.”
Honestly, if someone had asked me for a note from my doctor, I would have said.. “Are we in junior high?? A NOTE from my doctor?? What country is this again? I don’t have to have a note from my doctor.”
I have a feeling this is going to get ugly before it gets better. You can be nice and hey, you can say you won’t shop or get gas from them again.

That's where I am. It doesn't prove anything to get into an argument with a $10 an hour clerk at a gas station. They're not the ones issuing these orders.
OTOH, just got a call from the Greg Abbott campaign. I told him I contribute to President Trump monthly, and had contributed to Abbott monthly, but stopped those contributions and doubled my contributions to Trump the day he issued the mask order. Said if he rescinded the mask order, I'd start contributing again.
