He summarized that witnesses told APD a vehicle began honking its horn as it turned south onto Congress Avenue from 4th Street. He said the vehicle stopped as there were a large number of people in the roadway.
Manley said that Foster, who was holding an AK47-type assault rifle, approached the driver side window of this car as others in the crowd began striking the car.
Gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle at Mr. Foster, Manley said. During the initial investigation of this incident, it appears Mr. Foster may have pointed his rifle at the driver of this vehicle prior to being shot.
Another individual told APD that after that first volley of gunfire and seeing the car drive away from the crowd, they drew their concealed handgun and fired multiple shots at the car. Manley said this individual was also brought to the homicide office to be interviewed, and this individuals handgun, along with Fosters rifle, were also taken into evidence.
Both the driver of the vehicle who fired at Foster and the individual who fired at the car later on have been released pending further investigation, Manley said. He also noted that both people have concealed handgun licenses.

Unfired, evidently. I would think a thirty year old would know better than to go around pointing guns at Texans without the intent to shoot them.
We are probably paying for it with that $600 check he was getting every week.
Taxpayer money funding the dead criminal.
For at least 50 days.
(Republican Leadership)

LOL...rolling on floor. Not only are they not condemning the anarch-communist revolution and riots, none of the are standing up and loudly proclaiming their support for liberty, freedom and capitalism. It is PATHETIC how they are all hunkered down whimpering in their corners.

Exactly. That’s why I put that word in “ “.
Because they aren’t leaders.
They’re absolute jokes, who are turning away from the chaos and destruction and lawlessness of these thugs, while stepping over each other to praise the Marxist BLM carp.
All while NOT defending POTUS’ call for Law and Order.
These Republicans are as disgusting as the Dems.
As the driver was fleeing the scene probably in fear of his life this was attempted murder. He was no threat to those that shot at him and tried to kill him.
The protestors were the original threat. I saw some video and he did point an AK at the driver and other rioters were beating on the vehicle. The driver fired and killed the dude with the AK. He then most wisely speed away and was shot at by other rioters whom were the second threat from the rioters. If he had not he would have been likely killed.
This was a legal and good shoot. Those that fired at him as he fled should be charged with attempted murder.
I can’t and won’t feel sorry for this assclown.
He played a stupid game and won a stupid prize.
I can only hope that others out there might think of what happened here and decide not to be a dickhead. But given what appears to be the relatively low IQ of many of the protestors, I’m not holding my breath.
Just internet speculation because there were two sets of shots fired. The car was fired upon, by someone with a handgun on the crowd. If the guy with the AK fired, it probably would have been more clear on the video.
Moot point, he pointed the gun at the driver and got what was coming to him.
Pic in Daily Mail—her legs seem amputated
under the knee and seems to have no hands.
No one to push her around at seems, at least not him
You are grasping at anything to qualify bad behavior that was not a part of my statement, and not a part of the statement I commented on. As though I would side with someone who points a gun to threaten another. Maybe you should read with a little more comprehension rather than reading crap into someone else’s statement before you shoot from behind your keyboard.
Pay attention.
See post 12. Even if the AK guy was a poor shot, even firing one shot at point blank range into the vehicle... Would have been quite effective.
Luckily for the victim he fired his weapon before the AK guy did.
This fools mouth is moving, but the empty ammo shelves say the rest of America disagrees...
Yep!
The man was pinned in a crowd trying to escape and that SOB tries to kill him to prevent that escape.
Well, it would seem that it was not his intention to make it a peaceful protest, bringing a rifle. Someone should show this to Nadler, who thinks its all a myth.
Here is the corpse explaining that people who disagree with him "are too big of a pussy to stop and do anything about it". He was wrong.
Adler is encouraging the violence.
The blood of this BLM Marxist is on his hands.
Unless he wasnt a Texan. They are bussing them in from all over the country.
That is a crock. Those first 5 shots came from outside the vehicle. The next 3 were much more muted, like from inside a vehicle.
Not attacking you, Wayne, but that story being peddled is a crock.
..........one of my attorneys offices downtown because that’s where the courthouse is. But, after many decades of living in and around Austin, and now living 40 miles West, I insist on meeting out of down town on the rare occasion we have to meet.
Not so much for bullets flying but more for the homeless persons and traffic. Like Seattle, and Portland, Austin is run by democrats and is sliding down hill. But for the Legislature and Governor, it would have already fallen off the cliff.
Maybe even worse. They are quislings, cowering, siding with, and collaborating with the enemies of freedom.
I like this reply, to the idiot Mayor’s inane tweet....

1 - You need to be recalled
2 - No one brings and AK to a peaceful protest - these are riots
3 - Too many guns - defund the police and see what happens
4 - Your “stunned” because you have no idea what you are doing - you created this

At least someone is standing up to this lib disaster of a Mayor.
Our state “leaders” sure aren’t, that I know of.
Again....where is Gov Abbott, Sen Cruz, Sen Cornyn and Midge McConnell standing up for Law & Order, against these thugs?
POTUS cannot fight this, alone. Who, in DC...and, in the Republican Party, is calling out these nationwide, violent and destructive riots?
Yes, that is a very moving account of what happened at the scene.
What actually happened makes for a much more satisfying read.
