Ford Motor Company has unveiled what is being called a "one-off prototype" electric race car named the Mach-E 1400. The insane vehicle boasts a near 57-kilowatt battery, seven different motors, and 1,400 horsepower.
Three of its motors power the front wheels, with four connected to the rear, providing a stunning 2,300 pounds of downforce.
"Getting behind the wheel of this car has completely changed my perspective on what power and torque can be," professional driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. said.
Ford executives are not planning to sell the car but rather use it as a "test bed for new materials." They are also planning to use it as a proof of concept for the performance of an electric fleet of cars.
🔦 Ford has promised to invest $11.5 billion in electric vehicles through 2022.

“Young guys arent going to want a car like that unless its loud enough to annoy the hell out of old people”
I am an old guy annoying Young people and Harley riders.
NASCAR doesn’t have front wings.
Front end of NASCAR cars are indeed designed for downforce just as a wing does.
I have an electric Mach E hot rod! lol....
I see these things as appliances more than cars. Of course I came from an era where people built and fabricated their own custom cars and were always making changes. Now it’s just an appliance. Pay money to dealer and go....That’s it!
Since you are so knowledgeable I won’t point out that the wing on the rear is needed to counteract the rear lift and balance the vehicle steering balance.
They don’t have wings!
“I see these things as appliances more than cars. “
Appliances don’t do 3 second 0-60’s!
I always thought those stupid “wings” on street legal vehicles looked like carrying handles. I never did like them on consumer grade vehicles. They look like s**t.
OK, it’s an efficient appliance. It’s an electric motor, what did you expect? And you obviously didn’t get the point of my comment.
How long on a charge? Can’t race this thing, no way to recharge it quick enough.
....and the burn holes in the seats.........

You had a point?
Rear spoilers can keep a wing-shaped car from lifting weight off the back wheels... More weight/more traction. Helps for stabilization, but mostly just at relatively high speeds. It keeps the front/back weight ratio from getting out of hand.
Most of the goofy looking add-on wings are for “style”. The factory spoilers on high performance cars have been designed for the car.
See in the old days where people actually did things with their hands, everything was custom in that old world, all the way down to the paint jobs. Most all the vehicles were different...Custom...Now ya pay the stealership and drive off with your cool electric appliance. Pull up at a red light and ya see some other elderly retiree driving the same exact thing. It’s just different than the way it used to be. No hands on stuff....Just pay and drive. Very different than the car culture I was raised in.
1/4 mile................ 8^).............
You've obviously never seen my wife cook when she's angry..............
Sure they do. Look at the blender in your kitchen. Those blades go from 0-to really fast in a fraction of second...That's what electric motor do.
I should have added. the ‘/s’.
“No hands on stuff....Just pay and drive.”
You must not be aware of the aftermarket activity!
Correct.
I found it here:
