A photo of a Florida sheriff’s deputy and homeless man eating Chick-fil-A for lunch together has gone viral on social media with thousands of shares.
Brownie Lyons and her husband were driving around Lake City on July 2 when they saw Corporal Shane Foote of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office exit his patrol vehicle and remove a chair, WCJB reported on Wednesday.

“We were wondering if he was going to talk to the guy about being on the street but when we pulled out, he had set up the food and was sitting down with him eating,” Lyons recalled.
Then, the two men enjoyed what appeared to be an impromptu Chick-fil-A picnic on the sidewalk. Lyons snapped a photo of the meal and shared it to Facebook, in a post that has since gone viral with over 4,000 shares.

Reminds me of the old couple went into a truck stop fast food joint and he checked the menu and ordered one hamburger and order of fries with a drink.
He got a second cup and plate, poured half the drink in it and carefully put half the fries on one plate and cut the burger exactly in half.
He dutifully watched as she slowly ate and he didn’t touch his food.
A couple of truck drivers were impressed, went over and bought another burger and fries and a couple of pies, went to the old timers and presented them to the couple with a few bucks they had collected.
“Sir, it is great the way you shared your meal and made sure she had enough to eat before you ate. Please take this food and little bit of change”
The old man looked up, tears in his eyes and said
“Oh, we are on a strict diet for health reasons but will be happy to take your generous gift home and we surely appreciate it.
The ONLY reason I wait for her to finish is because she gets the teeth first”.

Happens more frequently than many realize. I have seen a good number of Houston Police Department officers buy meals for homeless people.

That was my first thought, thank goodness the guy’s not black, the cop would be doxxed by now. Like the emancipation statue.
