What is the term and law that prohibits the stopping of cars on the streets as the rioters do?

Every definition I find seems to be restricted to police actions and not civilians.

I think it’s called kidnapping.

It's called false imprisonment.

Essentially, it is false arrest or false imprisonment, or both.
The Legal Definition of False Arrest

False arrest is the unlawful restraint of a person’s freedom of movement. It can occur any time one person:

holds another individual against his or her will or takes another individual into custody without consent or without legal justification to do so.

It's important to note that any person can be liable for false arrest -- not just police officers.

What you have to prove can vary depending on the applicable law. Typically, however, the person bringing the lawsuit (the plaintiff) must show that:

the person they're suing for false arrest (the defendant) intended to confine the plaintiff the plaintiff was conscious of the confinement the plaintiff did not consent to the confinement, and the confinement was not otherwise privileged.

Let’s examine what each of these elements mean.

Intent. False arrest is an intentional tort. That means the person who committed it has to have done so purposefully.

There are other charges, such as blocking a roadway:

Civil lawsuits can be filed as well.

Which is worse, being trapped while deriving, or deriving while drunk?

There are many wise and educated people on FR. Several times I have wondered about a science topic and received excellent replies.

Please, could someone give their expertly grounded opinions and knowledge of the topics I heard discussed on a Savage Nation show about 2 years ago? Savage’s personal attorney answered specific questions after the Portland drivers were surrounded and attacked.

From memory: Rioters trying to pull open the door means a direct threat to get you outside the car and kill you, so you may kill them. Another: Hitting the car with rocks, concrete pieces and hammers, plus kicking and yelling-—are not a legal reason to shoot them. Not an imminent danger to your life. This is all by my memory.

Note: We could go to prison for years if we choose wrong!

Big problem: Each City, village, county and state, plus the US have specific laws. Thus, stand your ground, never shoot, always ok to defend yourself.....are all in varied contexts.

We have a few seconds or up to five minutes to decide, in our car, feeling increasingly afraid and possibly with loved ones inside-——what we should do.

Let’s see, speed and time are involved.
Find the derivative of L “law”) as speed and time approach zero (0).

f(L) = L ds/dt

(I think...)

On a side note, do have eye and hearing protection readily available for wear by all occupants whilst driving.
Just sayin’

But what if you were integrating?

What if you forgot calculus as soon as you took the final, and you’re just setting there solving quadratic equations or doing long division?

The smallest minority in the history of civilization is the individual.

The greatest collective in the history of civilization is the family.

The greatest danger to the individual, the family, civilization, in the history of civilization is the gang, the mob, the tribe, the horde, the party, the government.
Identify the overlords/enablers/funders of the mob, the tribe, the horde, the party, the government

“Civilization”...

...Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage’s whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men.

The precondition of a civilized society is the barring of physical force from social relationships—thus establishing the principle that if men wish to deal with one another, they may do so only by means of reason: by discussion, persuasion and voluntary, uncoerced agreement.

The necessary consequence of man’s right to life is his right to self-defense. In a civilized society, force may be used only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use.
