We, including me have become way too dependent on electricity. After the last Hurricane, I was just plain miserable. This despite being well prepared and faring much better than most.

This is a load of crap because my local electric company is an “essential business” and is currently hiring. More linemen = faster repairs.
I think the only logical thing to do is to take all of these workers that would be cleaning up after a hurricane and restoring electricity and put them all in Quarantine in some sort of air-lock so they have NO risk of exposure to any kind of illness or accidental injuries. That way they’ll be ready to go when we need them after a storm!
I mean, that makes as much SENSE as anything these days, Right?
